Comfort Inn and Suites Downtown, New Orleans

I love the hotel because of the location...literally 2 blocks from Bourbon which is a huge attraction in N.O. The parking was perfect there's a garage right around the corner which gives you a discount for staying at the hotel. Overall enjoyed and would definitely stay again.

The location is awesome and the staff is wonderful!! We had a great experience at this hotel that was half the price of other hotels in the area. It's a no frills hotel that could use a little upgrading but it was very clean and the room was very spacious. The hotel bar (The VooDoo II) makes a to die for Bloody Mary as well. The walk to Bourbon is minimal 4 or 5 blocks at the most (or if you don't like to walk it was a $7 cab ride) and it's only a couple of blocks to Canal to catch a street car to Harrah's and the waterfront. Did I mention how AWESOME the staff was, the friendliest people you would ever want to meet. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again hopefully in the very near future! Can't wait to get back!!!

Excellent service, very friendly staff who recognized us every day, great security for Mardi Gras, quiet yet close to action, clean, and reasonably kept up. We would definitely stay here again!

We were not given the room we booked online for 3 people. Was given instead a room with 1 king size bed. Fortunately, the third person backed out earlier. The most unfriendly, apathetic, rude staff I have ever encountered. Of course, parking is a big issue in N.O. You can park outside the front of the hotel for free if you can find a spot. Room was clean, but would never stay again due to staff.

Large room, slightly dated decor, but clean and with a decent-sized fridge. Friendly, helpful staff, reasonably convenient location, and the free breakfast (toast, coffee, juice, pastries, yoghurt, fruit) and wireless internet were nice bonuses. The hotel doesn't have a lot of character, and is comfortable rather than luxurious, but for the price it's excellent value for money. I'd certainly stay there again.

The hotel was nice and fairly convenient to everything we wanted to see. I had my teenaged daughters with me and never felt uncomfortable with the area or the hotel. Room was nice sized and comfortable. In-room coffeemaker was pieced together, but functioning. Valet parking was worth the $20/day. Staff were impersonal and not overly friendly, but they did take care of requests quickly. Continental breakfast had a nice variety. No pool, but there was a nice fitness center with a spa.

The location is close enough to Bourbon street/French quarter so that you can walk the distance if need be. Cab ride from hotel to Bourbon was $6 if you feel you cannot walk. The staff were polite but not "service with a smile" friendly. The room decor is average. The fridge, microwave, iron/board, and internet access were indeed helpful. However, it would have been nice to have cups available in the room to go with the coffee maker/coffee they provide. Overall cleanliness was a touch below par as the tub was dirty upon arrival but remedied the next day. I did not keep my clothing in the armoire provided due to the dead bug in one of the drawers. Breakfast consists of a 3 inch round pastry and a glass of juice or coffee. Overall the best feature of this hotel is its proximity to the French Quarter.

The best thing going for the Comfort Suites Downtown is its proximity to the French Quarter. The hotel is a short walk away from many of the city's best sights. The hotel staff was helpful and provided good service. Amenities were basic, as was the room. The place was clean, but had a shabby feel. Inexpensive and adequate. Nothing more.

The hotel was alright... Nice staff, etc. My only issue was that the bathroom was very small, and not very clean (a dirty towel was left hanging on the door)...

This was a good deal, but it's not in the nicest location. Still for a just a place to stay it was perfect.
