Beware of live bands playing loud music!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/06
We've stayed at the Blue Inn before and been very satisfied. However, that was not the case on Sept 2, 2006. We checked in that afternoon, and when we got back to the room about 9pm, we found that they had a live band playing loud music outside, right beneath the window of our room. We figured that a business offering a place to sleep wouldn't do something to actually prevent sleeping after about 10pm, but we were wrong. The band was playing until midnight. So we checked out and had to find another place to sleep.
We suggest that the Blue Inn could have done several things differently. First, when someone makes a reservation, tell them if there is going to be a live band playing loud music that night. Second, when someone checks in, tell them about the plans for a live band, and if it might be a problem, offer a room that is further away from the music. Third, when someone complains, offer an apology, or some type of remedy, such as help in finding another hotel. Definitely do not tell them that they should have seen the signs in advance (we are from California, so could not have seen the signs in advance).
If you make a reservation here, ask about plans for any live bands.
