Cave Creek Tumbleweed Hotel, Cave Creek

This place is horrible, the female owner is whacked out and they don't appreciate your business at all. I'd rather sleep outside with a cactus. Spend an extra $50 and stay at the boulders. For shampoo she have us a half used bottle that she probably filled up at Walmart. Terrible service.

I liked nothing about this place other than the location somewhat and will NEVER stay there again. Very poor lighting, Drapes, not even enough hooks to hold them up properly. The bedspread had stains from XXX as well as several cigaret burn holes and it is a no smoking room other stains of some sort on the back side of the bedspread. Sheets so thin you could read through them. Carpet not installed properly so watch you step for the rolls. Bathroom sink does not drain well in fact there was a toothpaste cap that must have been trapped down there for some time finally floated up YUCK! Still the sink would not drain properly. There were no tissues available in the empty box. Dirty, dirty, dirty! The faucet in the bathtub. You better have your Tetanus Shot up to date...thirty years of water leaking and rotting going on there...poor patched with god knows what and I think caulking. Lightbulbs missing, clocks not plugged in, lamps plugged in incorrectly. Place so yucky that I would not sleep in my night clothes and slept in my street clothes for more coverage. Aaaauuuugh! Unfortunately we had to stay two nights. No option for do not disturb sign because they want to go through you room and will. I had a pair of earrings on the desk specifically placed and upon our return tot the room they definitely had been rearranged and moved. Not an area they should have been straightening. Now they were located underneath my overnight bag...maybe in hopes that I would have left them? TERRIBLE...Do not stay here.... Pool way...way...way GREEN and closed. Pictures on their website do not be deceived they are FALSE, very false Below it asks what it's best for? A bon fire would be my first suggested and start over. We probably would have been happier sleeping in our vehicle

First off , The website is totally decieving! This place is roach motel. Upon arrival they told us they had moved us to their casita because their AC wasnt working. We arrived, this place was shabby but we decided to give it a try to see the room. The room was digusting! I wanted to cry I was so upset thinking I might actually have to stay here. The casita has a living room , kitchen and bedroom. We arrived and had a dirty tank top on the kitchen table, dirty clothes in the closet along with a childs school work. There was also half eaten cereal boxes in the cabinets. It was right out of a horror flick! Not only was it dirty but it was creepy! Within minutes we ran back to the lobby and requested our money back. The staff was angry with us and explained it was a monthly rental usually that they will occasionally be rented nightly ( which was explanation for the clothes and cereal boxes). We told them it was digusting and the manager angry with us yelled it wasnt digusting ( it was worst then digusting) They did return our money while they tried to intimidate us and told us we were not going to be able to find a hotel anywhere else, Its okay tumbleweed We would rather stay in our car then this place. Stayed 13 miles away worth the Drive!!!

Let me start by saying simply do Not go here. Period. I hate the people who work here and even more so how they treated me. I called to book a room and was told they wouldn't charge the card until we checked in. I confirmed that before I gave the card number knowing that we may not have been able to come due to work. We didn't end up going. I had my brothers wedding to attend and my boyfriend got called into work. The card was charged that night and when we tried to call the lobby was closed and the voice mail was full. We called the next morning and the lady Jerry that worked there lied and said she told us the card would be charged either way. I was extremely mad by this and demanded to speak to the manager and she hung up on me. We then sent an email and will be driving up there after this weekend. She still refuses to give us our money back. Do NOT go here!!!! I will be letting everybody know about this place!!

Advertised as a place with luxery rooms. Kitchenete room over priced. No amenities. No coffee, no tissue paper, lumpy bed. A/C was practically useless. Bathroom was hot. For $153 (includes tax) per night was a rip off!! TV receptioon and options terrible. Wouldn't recommend to anyone !! Should have read reviews first !!

Stay at the Tumbleweed Hotel, its great and walk 2 blocks to bull riding at the buffalo chip " REALL BULLS"!!!!!!!!!!!! My Kind of town, reall cowboy R&R thank you tumbleweed Hotel for a great stay .

We stayed at Tumbleweed Hotel when we attended a wedding in Cave Creek. The room was very nice and clean. Close to where we needed to be, and also convenient to other "attractions" in Cave Creek (Harold's, FlapJacks!!) We are from the southeast Valley so it was a great place to stay to avoid the long drive home. We are staying again for 4th of July weekend. Can't wait!! Thanks, Gary and Jeri - you were great hosts!

Filthy dirty rooms, carpets, beds, bathrooms. No housekeeping if you stay more than one day. A/C doesn't work well. No refunds, even if you cancel your reservation prior to staying you will be charged the FULL amount of your reservation. The pool is closed. The lobby closes at 8:00pm so don't accidently get locked out! No internet service and TV won't stay on. Phones only dial local numbers. Trust me, it's the worst hotel anywhere!

We loved and enjoyed our stay at the Tumbleweedhotel The rooms were very western and clean Staff was friendly and It was a true western Exs. and everything was in walking from the hotel. Thank You Tumbleweedhotel We would come there every time we go to AZ.

When I first checked in I expected it to be a great experience, But as soon as I walked into the room I started to sweat because the A.C. barley worked and it had a horrible smell. Later I went to the pool and it was not clean, the service was horrible, and there so called "famous" library that I was looking forward to seeing was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. I would not recomend this hotel.
