Ocean Park Hotel, Santa Monica

Considerate staff, great pricing and very clean. I would recommend this to anyone. The staff were friendly and available. If you want breakfast, there is a small cafe next door which serves good healthy food. Bus stop is less than a block away that will take you into downtown Santa Monica and the beach or across the street which will take you to Westwood and UCLA . Showers & restroom are shared but very clean. Free wi-fi, cable, microwave and refrig. I would highly recommend this hotel/motel.

There are two reasons why you would stay here, price and location. It is one of the least expensive places to stay at in the extremely expensive Santa Monica hotel market. It is also right by Santa Monica college and a 5 to 10 minute bus ride to downtown. However, even at just $55 a night I still do not think it is a good value. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean. And although it is for the most part in a residential neighborhood there is a cafe and a Coffee Bean right next door. However, this place while cheap feels more like a hostel then a hotel. The two main reasons that give you this feel is due to shared bathrooms and very very thin walls. The shared bathroom should come as no surprise as it's listed on the website, but it still contributes to the overall hostel feel. What really gives it it's hostel feel is I felt like I was sleepig with everyone there due to the thin walls. You can hear EVERYTHING. If a mouse sneezes a floor up and 3 rooms over you are going to hear it. So you are certainly going to hear a bunch of Italians chatting with each other in the hall at 2am which apparently Italians due by shouting or hear the woma next door cough up a hairball for an hour. And there is no way to drown out there noise. It is central air so you have no control over any heating/AC/fan unit you can turn on. My last complaint is although the bathrooms were clean the men's shower had no water pressure. It came out at a trinkle. So if you absolutely need the absolutely cheapest room in Santa Monica then by all means stay here but I think you would get muh more value paying an extra $20 or $30 and going elsewhere.

I have read all the reviews from all the websites and this hotel is really nice... very close to the beach (only by car or by bus but the bus is in front and it is really easy to take it and really cheap!) The staff is really nice as well. All the rooms and bathroom (even if you have to share it) are so clean! The price is amazing Friendly staff and very clean and bright rooms. Nice and cosy hotel. Really nice but small rooms. I felt like i was home not at all like hotel rooms. About 3km from the centre of santa monica/beach. Bus nro 8 goes to the hotel and costs 75cents. Really cheap and good value!! Superhotel wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Preisleistung sehr gut, Lage optimal, Ausstattung ausreichend.

I stayed there with my wife , we had no problems whatsoever . Check in after 8 PM is possible as long as you set it up . A Phone call was enough to check in at 11.30 PM . Friendly staff and very clean . I would recommend it, if you have low budget . $ 10 per night is not the right price . We payed $ 55 incl Tax for each night. You can't beat that price for the location and amenities .

What a rip off. More than a Motel 6 but rooms don't have bathrooms. There are communal bathrooms and showers. No mention of this beforehand, by the way. The curtains are vertical blinds that keep absolutely nothing out. If you plan on sleeping past sunrise, you're s.o.l. No check ins after 8pm. But don't worry, if you get there at 8:30 you can just camp out in front of the building until 9 the next morning. They'll be happy to roll over your misguided reservation!

I liked everything about it . It is a big difference since they changed the management and the Hotel has improved a lot . Friendly Staff and very clean . I also liked the included continetal breakfast. All in all a nice Hotel to stay at a affordable price.

Very, very friendly staff, nice breakfast during the week, safe quiet area. Shared bathrooms are very clean and nice. Rooms have enough for a week or two to stay...great location. Perfect for anyone looking for a place to stay while looking for an apartment as well as anyone who just has a string of bad luck, like myself. Well worth the price!!!
