Galena Street Mountain Inn, Frisco

We used to live in Highlands Ranch, Co and when family came to town we'd stay at the Galena. They have a great 2 room suite upstairs, separate from the main area. It actually slept 6 and was great space. Perfect for family's. One room had a great adult area with a large bed, TV (bah), sky light over the bed and tons of space. The one bathroom (only a shower (no tub) and toilet but very clean) separated the other living spaces. As you walk thru the bathroom pass thru, the next space had 2 twin beds (good mattresses) followed by another area that had a futon that also slept 2 more very comfortably. Spied around one morning and got a quick peek in some of the other rooms as they were being cleaned. Not big but again why stay in the room when in Colorado but very nice and clean. For just my wife and I, it would have been great. Good breakfast and great hosts as well. Very charming place we would highly recommend and often do for friends. Off the beaten track so it's very quiet as well. Great fireplace in the main library area plus tons of books and movies but why stay inside in Colorado?

We discovered the Galena Street Inn more than five years ago, and we haven't stayed anywhere else in Summit County since. The price per night is a steal; the service is impecable; the food is devine; the beds are outrageously comfortable; the rooms are tastefully done, roomy, and clean; and the location can't be beat. Highly recommended!

This is just a fabulous palce to stay for either skiing or biking. They really know how to take care of you. Close to ski resorts,bike trails,and restaurants
