2 reviews for Hotel Due Mondi, Turin
Hope you're not picky
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/08
I stayed here for 2 nights in June. The person who checked me in was extremely nice, but unfortunately, I never saw him again. The woman who I did see for the next 2 days was rude and patronizing (to guests and other employees). She had a literal SHOUTING MATCH with a kitchen employee during breakfast one day, clearly within the hearing of the guests (like myself) eating breakfast which made for a very uncomfortable environment. I speak Italian as well, and was quite shocked by the language she was using (besides the tone, of course). Very unprofessional and juvenile. The room was NOT air conditioned as was stated - just had a noisy vent that blew warm air and it was sweltering. The window (actually a small terrace) doesn't close all the way, so doesn't feel very safe. Street outside is very noisy, so at night you either suffocate or sleep with the noise. Location is convenient as it's right around the block from the Porta Nuova train station, but that's this place's only redeeming feature. Otherwise, it's a dump! It's a shame because Torino is a beautiful city...

Lovely little hotel!
By Karen, 05/10/05
This hotel is within walking distance of some of the best shopping I've ever experienced. From high end designers to great bargains, you won't be disappointed. The hotel staff were gracious. The room was elegantly decorated, quiet, and immaculately clean.
