The view was terrific, cabin was clean and stocked with plenty of wood. This is the best place ever to have a great time. We can hardly wait to go back.

THIS IS WHAT RED RIVER IS ALL ABOUT!!!
By JennyU, 06/21/07
My family has stayed at Rio Colorado Lodge since my dad was 10. He is now in his mid 50s. I think we have stayed in EVERY single cabin. Including the big one by the enterance. These cabins might not be the most up to date. But the mountain feel is worth the trip. I can't remember going to Red River and not staying there. The grounds are so welcoming. I love the fact that there is a pond where you can fish and then walk to your cabin and have grandma cook your fish. It almost feels like you are in the middle of no-where, but yet you are able to walk to town do some shopping. We go every year just as the leaves are turning and may I say it is the BEST time to go. This is a place almost everyone loves. If you still like the big city, then Taos and Santa Fe are not that far away. You should go and stay at Rio Colorado Lodge.

My husband and I stay at the Rio Colarado lodge every year and find it very enjoyable. It is always clean and management is helpful. We got married at this lodge.
