Hotel Ruby, Spokane

If you stay here on the weekend, expect to be woken up. They can remodel this hotel all day and still have the same riff raff lurking around the neighborhood. The front desk people were untrained and unprofessional. The rooms were too small for the price, some of the light bulbs didn't were and their cable sucks. I would PASS on this hotel and get a good night sleep somewhere else.

The p[oeple are very nice and the hotel is being remodelled with very cute painting scheme and new beds and flat screen tv. Location is the best . Right next to The Bing, The fox and the Knitting Factory. Only drawback is their lounge has not yet been built but will be done this year, they say. All in all, pretty good deal.

Had two Non-smoking rooms, both had butts and one MJ roach. No towels, soap, shower curtain. Food and bottle caps on the floor and two bud lites in ref. Broken TV. It winter, and the heaters are so loud you can't sleep or turn off because no blankets. parking what parking, it was full of piled up snow. Do not stay, writing Spokane board of health, many code violations. Spokane is a nice city but stay at Ramada limited or Travel lodge not here!

To start our room resembled a crime scene! Everything BUT the chalk outline. Bubble gum stuck to the head board, mashed cigarettes in the night stand, hair between the sheets as well as a carpets that had questionable stains and odors. The worst part however was the non-medicated swing shift desk clerk who threatened to call the police when we informed her POLITELY we were checking back out. When we spoke to the manager the next day, she was as pleasant as one would expect and informed us that Michele (desk clerk in question) was already suspect of poor unproffesional behavior. Good luck with the renovations Amy.

Our room had an awesome view, all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had an overall amazing experience at this hotel, and it was very inexpensive for the quality. The outside isn't gorgeous, but the beds are comfortable, the room was clean & nice, there were extra pillows, a fridge, microwave, and a coffee pot. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a room in this area.

We stayed there for one night. With the low price my expectations were fairly low. I just hoped it would be clean. The first thing I noticed was that the carpet was covered with stains worse than anything I've ever seen. It looks like not much has been updated since the 1970's. The smell of disinfectants barely masked the underlying stench of the carpet. We turned on the TV and found it only displayed in black and white. Then we tried to call the front desk but the phone was dead. We wend down to the front desk and requested another room. The second room had a working TV and phone and somewhat better carpets. It still smelled a bit like old gym shorts though. There was also something splattered on the door and the tray with our ice bucket was filthy. It was very late and we had already been to a couple of other places that were booked so we decided to stay the night. The hotel is located next to a club and there was a lot of yelling and carying on that could be heard in the room late into the night. In the morning after taking my shower I tried to hop across the carpet without stepping on it, but had to take a couple of steps with bare feet. From then on, my feet burned and iched all day. Despite the low price, I regret having stayed there. The desk clerk says they'll be having a major renovation soon. It can't come soon enough.

Well first of all we had wanted our room booked for two double beds since there were 3 of us girls going on this trip. We got there and all they had was a single so one of us had to sleep on the floor. The phone system was down in the hotel while we were there, and there is very very little parking not to mention is a creapy area (actually the street it is on is very nice but the set up of the hotel requires guests to park in a tight little lot tuck on the inside of the hotel. We did not feel safe at all and there were some very questionable people walking around the parking area, and it was very loud we could hear everything people were saying in the parking lot at 3AM. I really don't think we could ever bring ourselves to stay in this hotel again despite its great location.

** The ONLY perk to this hotel was that it was right downtown. We asked for a non smoking room and got one that was clearly smoked in previous. The bathroom and shower were in poor condition and industrial quality. There was not much hot water, and the pipes did this strange bellowing. There was only one window, that didn't open, over the street with 1952 curtains. The heat was either too hot or too cold. The furnishings were dilapidated, and the small mini fridge sounded like there was an aquarium in the room. Not worth the money paid for the room.
