We will stay there again
By ,
I want to thank Lisa and her staff for the excellant service on our stay. House keeping was very friendly and when you asked for something, it was brought to you right away. The price of the room was very reasonable. Internet was fast and no problems. We are planning to go back this year and I know this is our place to stay. J. Perritt, Tennessee

Beware of bedbugs!
By ,
We woke op with bites and found lots of bedbugs in our bed. The corner of the bedframe was brown and several bugs was crawling around. We were disgusted! And afraid that our little daughter had been bitten too. This has really been a holliday crasher!! We can not recomend this place to anyone. Sad that management dont take the problem seriuosly!

Thank You For A Great Experience
By ,
We wanted to tell you a big "Thank You" for graciously taking in a bunch of road and weather weary travelers - and NOT taking advantage of their DIFFICULTLY! Other hotels in the area were charging double their rates because of the the closed road and storm. The room was clean & relatively quiet and the staff (individuallly and all together) were friendly, concerned and helpful. Your soaps & shampoos were plentiful, and there were plenty of towels! We are frequent travelers & normally stay at a bit more expensive places, but guarantee the next time we have to stay in Rawlings it will be here.

Helpful Staff
By ,
We got snowed in and the lady at the desk was so helpful. My daughter and niece and granddaughter got held up in the storm 41 miles east and it took them three hours to get here because of wrecks on the interstate. She helped me to get a hold of them and the Hwy patrol. She was so very helpful. I was very glad that they employ such nice and helpful people. Again thank you!

Watch your wallet!

They use the excuse of I don't know how to do that to rip you off. My wife made me a reservation (3 nites) through this website and when I checked in the clerk charged my credit card for the three nites. My business plans changed and I checked out the morning of what would be the 3rd nite. I said I needed my card credited for the last night as I wouldn't be staying and he said he didn't do that I would have to talk to the manager at 7am and he walked away. It was 5am and I would be 150 miles away at 7am. When I called for the manager at 830am the girl at the desk said that the manager would not be in until the next day and when I explained the situation she said that I would have to contact Magnuson about a refund because they charge Magnuson for an online reservation, not me. I said that I gave the girl my credit card and she charged it when I checked in and I signed a receipt. She said that was wrong and that Magnuson was the one that was charged and not me. I asked her what the receipt I was holding that had an amount part of my card number and my signature was for and she said that that was wrong and that I would have to wait til the manager got in and that I would probably have to get my refund from Magnuson. So if you stay here through a reservation made online, chances are they charged you for the room then and then you will be charged again when you get to the motel, and then if your plans change you will be out in the cold because the people they have working the desk aren't bright enough to work a credit card zon (at least that's what they tell you) and if that's the case then you have to jump through hoops to get your money back, if you can. I won't be staying here again and I would advise anyone against staying here because it may cost them more than the price of a room. Not that clean either.

A Little Humble but Clean and Comfy
By ,
I have been staying at Rawlins' 1st Choice Inn for one week time spans for the last year. The owner and staff are friendly. The motel is not fancy but has a clean homey feel. The staff goes out of their way to make sure I get a room that works for me. There have been times when I have forgotten to bring something needed for a trip and each time the owner has either loaned me what I need or has referred me to someone in Rawlins who can help me. My dog Jake has been wecome each time. Most of us who stay here work long hours..this translates to the motel being very quiet in the evening because everyone turns in early. In summary, the motel is great for anyone looking for a clean, no-frills, down-home home-away-from-home. Jake (my dog) and I will continue to stay at Rawlins' 1st Choice when we work in the Rawlins vicinity.

Wouldn't choose 1st Choice Inns if they paid me
By ,
Booked with Orbitz. Confirmed on phone reservation was set. Got there late at night and all of a sudden they were booked and did not have our reservation from orbitz. How sad that they blamed Orbitz for not sending in the reservation when I had not only confirmation from Orbitz but confirmation from the hotel a few weeks before. Even after all that, they didn't even bother to try and find us any other accomodations even after we told them we already drove 520 miles to get there.

A Dump

Avoid this motel....not clean. The town is the armpit of Wyoming. Rooms are tough to get because of the boom there. Travel a bit further and stay in Saratoga..nicer town..nicer motels.
