Scandia Inn Motel, McCall

I called to make reservations and the man that answered the phone was mean and sounded angry. When I asked if they had two adjoining rooms he said " I guess you've never stayed here before ?? " I had 2 years ago and my old credit card was still on file ! overall the man was very rude i said don't hold the rooms for now I'll get back to you later today as i wished to see if the owner was available and was promptly hung up on. When I called back and asked for the owner I was hung up on again ! Try Bears Knight Inn a few miles down the road Great gift shop Great service and no rude attitude associates.

Probably the best value in McCall, Scandia has been refurbished well and offers great room/lift ticket deals for Brundage. Paper thin walls and tiny bathrooms betray the structure's underlying cheap motel origins -- don't be expecting the Hilton or even Holiday Inn. But it's clean, feels new, been nicely redecorated, and at this price it can't be beat.

We stayed for one week in early Oct. The management was great and helpful.The room was very clean, They asked if we wanted room service every other day, and the staff was just great. They made the bed, changed the towels, empty the trash and vaccuned. Couldn't ask for anything more. We had a Ref/Micro and Coffee Pot. Didn't need all that other stuff. We were at home with what we had. The price was great at $70.00 per night. The other hotels wanted so much more money and the reviews that we read on the Scandia were just what we wanted to see. You must stay here.

I have stayed at Scandia Inn several times in the last few years and I have never been disappointed. Service, cleanliness and comfort always remain high. The people are always nice, helpful and friendly. It is right in town but it isn't noisy or busy.

After reading the other reviews, I thought this place sounded really nice. It was not as great as I was led to believe. This place was clean, but that was about it. The furnishings and especially the bathroom were old. The bathtub made an awful groan when getting in and out and I almost wondered if it was going to cave-in. There was a huge stain on the carpet where it looked like the roof had started leaking. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning so it was pretty toasty in the summer. It is located about a ten minute walk from downtown. This is one of the cheaper places to stay in McCall and it was probably worth what we paid ($79 per night on weekend). However, I think it could definitely use some remodeling and updates.

First and foremost, they have awesome service!!! Great friendly staff. The location is center of town, walk anywhere. The rooms are excellent and decorated nicely. Makes you feel at home, but in the mountains. I had stayed here a few times before getting married for church camp, so I talked my wife into staying here for a few days of our honeymoon and she loved it!! Then we went to the condos :) Dislike...NOTHING!!! Actually I'm looking right now to see if there is any available rooms.. Thanks and enjoy!!!

This hotel is small and quiet with a great location. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Comfortable rooms and the best price we could find anywhere in McCall.

We liked Scandinavian alot. The beds were freshly cleaned and made. The rooms were very clean and hospitable. The location is close to inner McCall. Because of the make up of the hotel it is quiet at night while one is resting or sleeping.
