affordable accomodation with amenities of four star

I liked the hotel's location near the university and accessible to the city and to exits to other cities, very handy with free parking. I liked the straight forward courtesy and service of the staff. They were courteous and helpful. The room was clean and well furnished with necessary furniture. I stayed for four days and found the kitchenette useful as some of our meals were room-service. We enjoyed the meals we ate in the dining room. The food was good, not pretentiously 'gourmet' but skilfully cooked, well presented and ably served. I didn't use the pool and its amenities but it seemed attractive and well equipped with some exercise aids.
I really didn't dislike anything except the wintry, snowy weather - not Visitors Inn's fault! I would definitely stay there again and unreservedly recommend it to other travellors or in-town types who want to enjoy a hometown weekend getaway.
