Holiday Inn Ex Sts Watertown, Watertown

Our stay was not the most pleasant experiences. Unfortunately and unknown to us when we checked in, we were assigned the worst room in the building, 114. It is right next to a banquet room, which was being used for a party when we checked in and is also right by the lobby, where people were drinking. We checked in at a decent hour and I was exhausted, my husband and kids went to the pool and I went to lay down. It was loud, kids were running the halls above me and banging thru the walls next door, there was no way I was going to get the MUCH needed rest I paid for. I asked the front desk to move our room, they said they could not because all they had were suites and ‘I” would have to pay the difference. I asked for a refund of a portion of my stay so that I could leave and go elsewhere as my children has swam in the pool. The front desk refused but called her manager who also refused as it was “NOT their FAULT I was subjected to NOISE”. I decided to call corporate and corporate called the front desk where the little girl LIED and said I was also there with a party which was NOT the case. And that there had been no one in the party room for 3 hours, which was a bold face lie. The room was still scattered with balloons and people. Basically I was told there is no noise ordinance until 11pm. Which is frankly a big joke, they should have just moved my room. I will not stay again nor will I recommend anyone staying. The front desk clerk made it seem as though it was a personal vendetta against her because I wanted to change rooms and apparently she would “LIE” to safe her face. And the ironic thing is their goal and Hospitality Promise is to "Make your stay a complete success. We promise to make it right or your won't pay for that part of your stay." So where is my refund from 4pm-11pm? The staff here really could use customer service training!

Staff excellent (puppy says thanks Holly), lovely breakfast with lots of choices, clean rooms at reasonable rate, would definitely stay again on our way south.

I would like to say thank you to the staff (Jennifer) for their accommodation of our luggage and shopping bags on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009. We had gone to stay in the hotel Friday night. While the others in our party had to leave to go back to Canada in the night we were left there until the next day at 3:00pm. SInce we didn't have a vehicle we were allowed to leave all our bags in a room off of the main entrance until an alternate ride from Canada came to pick us up. Thank you so much for this and we will be back!! The rooms were lovely and clean, breakfast was great and the staff was great!!

The main reason we chose this hotel, as a stop over on our trip, was they have a waterslide. The kids were pretty excited about the slide, but no one told me when I reserved my room that the waterslide is closed on Sunday. Honestly, if we had known the slide was closed we would have stayed somewhere else and saved alot of money. Without the slide, it's just your average motel. I recommend to anyone booking a stay there to verify that the advertised amenities are actually available.

We met our grandchildren there , and had a wonderful three days . The staff was very nice and it was very clean . Grandkids loved the pool. Close to shopping centers and restaurants.

Great room, king suite. The bed was amazing, best night sleep we have both had maybe in years. What kind of mattress is that???? Please send me a reply back. Will definitely come again to stay. Had a king suite(room 423) Next time maybe we will get the jacuzzi king suite. Thanks and please reply if possible. Only stayed one night so not sure about the pool or spa,etc. on our way to Canada from a golf trip in Virginia.

They were very tolerant with all the kids staying for the high school girls state A basketball tournament. Our room was very nice and workers were all very nice and friendly

Stayed here on a business trip. Location is right off interstate next to gas station and close to many restaurants and shopping. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Really enjoyed the hot breakfast. Pool area is definately family friendly and I would be happy to bring my kids to enjoy the slides. Will stay here on my next trip to Watertown.

Nice Nice hotel, caring responsive employees, they have a new breakfast lineup which includes eggs & bacon, sausage & biscuits as well as rolls & breads etc. Very tasty. Wonderful waterpark - only drawback to that is on weekends if you are a business traveler it gets a little noisy as it is very family friendly, but that is to be expected. Clean and attractive, comfortable rooms with every ammenity needed. Free internet. Next door to a truck stop restaurant and casino, easy shopping access as well as many nearby popular restaurants to choose from. Very satisfied with our stay there.

This hotel is between a truck stop and a dairy farm. We had a VERY bad gas smell (like propane had escaped). Several guests checked out, as did we. The manager on duty called the owner who said it was the truck stop. Great!
