Blockade Runner Motor Inn, North Myrtle Beach

The rates were reasonable, but it is winter. The room was a tad dark with not enough lighting inside. No internet access available. No continental breakfast; they have a restaurant on premises for breakfast and lunch but it can be costly. Maid service daily. Older motel with all oceanfront rooms and in a good location.

The Blockade Runner was a wonderful place to stay. I had to go to North Myrtle Beach in December on business and decided to stay oceanfront and picked the Blockade Runner. I was happy I did. The rooms were large, well appointed, very clean and hosted a microwave, coffeemaker with coffee provided and a refrigerator. An iron and hair dryer were also provided. The staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs. The food at Locals Cafe is great. The Blockade Runner made my trip a more pleasant one and will be going again for the next business trip I have in the area and will book for a vacation if I go to Myrtle Beach in the summer. Highly recommended for anyone at anytime.

We will not stay anywhere else when we go to N Myrtle.Everything is clean and in good working order and the location is excellent to all the entertainment and attractions you could ask for.However:you might just choose to stay close to the pool though as it is very nice with a small one for the little folks as well as the large pool and a heated tub to relax in if you like.We always go back to Blockade Runner.

For the seventh consecutive year, my family and I stayed at Blockade Runner in late May '09. We've enjoyed our visits in the past, but our room had been recently renovated, and was super nice. I hope that the Blockade Runner will continue to be there as long as we travel to North Myrtle Beach!

I liked the Blockade Runner. We went in the winter time, of course the rates are lower then. You do not have to worry about a iron or coffee pot or microwave or stove, or refrigerator. I like ice cream, so the only thing I had a problem with was the refrigerator top for frozen items was not big enough. Other than that it was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and neat. The staff was very gracious. The little cafe down stairs had great breakfast and lunch options. The hamburgers and homemade chicken salad are great. Pool was clean. We never left the hotel area. Very nice and quite. We will be back!

Stayed here for new years night. Decent ocean front room for $50. (off season) It ended up costing me $370. Got up the next day, drove home,(hour away) then realized we left our camera on the bed. Just to be sure I quadruple checked our bags and my vehicle. Drove all the way back to the hotel after calling because I was 100% sure that we left the camera on the bed. Nothing had been turned in so they let me check the already cleaned room again, with no luck. I talked to the lady who cleans the rooms and asked if she had found anything in my room in a very nice non-confrontational manner. I even offered a cash reward. She automatically became defensive and became upset with me. I never accused her and she basically told on herself with her reaction. I guess there's no incentive to be honest these days. Even if someone leaves something behind, it's still stealing Barbara.

Have stayed in N. Myrtle Beach any, many times. I didn't know this place existed, but when we found it, it was far above what we expexted. Clean rooms, excellent staff and over all just a great place to stay and very affordable. Have just today booked our second stay there and will book there from now on. Thanks to a great place to relax.
