a beautiful inn - we would definitely return!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/09
My husband and I loved everything about this inn! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have been refurbished and are all so lovely and are decorated with colonial accents Our room and bath were so clean - it was such a pleasure to stay there! (The bed was very comfortable, too!) The breakfast was outstanding every day! A five-course meal of fruit served in a fancy design, a yummy homemade muffin or roll, the main entree, also homemade, a fruit smoothie - different each day - and a breakfast dessert were served. Other homemade breakfasts for people with food allergies, can be prepared, too. One just needs to let the owners know ahead of time as to special needs. The dining room is quite lovely, set with a pretty tablecloth, handmade pottery, candles, (there are also votive candles set around the room), and soft music playing. It's all very relaxing and congenial. The inn is in easy walking distance of the village of Rockport with its many art galleries, quality gift shops, restaurants, cafes and jewelry stores. The docks are quite picturesque and there is a good beach nearby. There is also a well-kept in-ground pool in the further end of the inn's yard. (It was too chilly and drizzly for us to use it, however!) We heartily recommend Seven South Streeet Inn - I would not hesitate a second to recommend it to anyone who wishes to have a great get-away in Rockport and enjoy a comfortable stay! I MISS MY FRUIT SMOOTHIES
By Scott, 10/21/08
It was a wonderful inn. Debbie and Nick are great hosts. The staff was very helpful. We had a beautiful room (#2) It is just like the Web site photo. The parking is easy and the inn is convenient to the Village shopping. This inn has the BEST breakfasts. We were there 7 days and all the breakfasts were great. With the variety of guests that the inn attracts, there is always interesting dining conversations. The hour for breakfast was always too short. We recommend this inn to all couples worldwide.

so GOOD it was funny!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/15/08
i cant stress enough how great this inn is. my family and i have been going since 2001. we have yet to find a single con amongst the huge amount of pros for this inn. first of all, the inn is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the pretty and quaint shopping area known as bareskin neck. if there is one thing that really stands out among the inn is debbie's delicious gourmet breakfasts. every single unique breakfast that i have ever had there has been more delicious than any other restaurant or home-cooked meal that i have ever had. the fruit smoothies are superb, and the main dishes are cooked to perfection. debbie and nick are such good-natured, down-to-earth people that i have ever met and we have all become fast friends since our coming odwn every year to debbie's inn in rockport. there is no reason to not stay at this inn. it's beautiful and quaint, reasonably priced and just overall excellent! if you are ever planning on staying in the gloucester or rockport area, look the seven south street inn up and book a room at the nicest inn in town! :)

Home Away from Home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/15/08
My husband and I spent our Anniversary at Seven South Street Inn, and had a thoroughly wonderful experience! Our room was romantic and wonderfully appointed. The breakfast was better than we expected (even though we read it was great.) It was sooo good, we ate it all and ended up skipping lunch. The inn is also a short walk to Bear Skin Neck, where all the quaint shops and galleries are, and to a small quiet beach. I will definitely go back.

Greatest inn in Rockport!! -repeat guest
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/15/08
This bed and breakfast is one of the greatest my family and I have been to. We have stayed in various inns in Rockport, and this is by far the best. We have chosen to stay with Debbie for seven straight years. She is kind, cooperative, and I haven't found an inn with better breakfasts than her. The meal is four courses; fruit, a gourmet toast substitute like muffins or coffee cake, a fruit smoothie, and the main course. Utterly delicious. I don't know about the rest of you, but I like muffins. The quiche is perfectly fluffy, and my personal favorite is the strawberry stuffed french toast. I'll be back!

Best Bed & Breakfast in Rockport MA
By Mary JoW, 8/9/08
My husband and I have visited other Bed and Breakfast establishments before and NONE have held a candle to the Seven South Street Inn! Debbie and Nick make you feel like your family. I even insisted on staying there on our wedding day a few years ago. Debbie was so helpful and offered to steam the wrinkles out of my wedding dress, veil, and my husbands suit the morning we got married for NO charge! Now I call that GREAT service! With the great service we've experienced, it always saddens me when I read a poor review from one of their guests. My family is from the area and I feel I can say with confidence that many New Englanders tend to have strong and outspoken personalities by nature and some folks find this offensive or rude, when in fact it is simply a cultural difference. The Inn Keepers and their help work very hard to provide their guests with beautifully decorated and clean rooms and a gourmet breakfast like no other. Yes, it may seem strange to some that you are served more than one sweet treat for breakfast... so don't eat what you don't like. The only problem I found with this B&B is that I expect ALL B&Bs to be as good and I'm dissappointed when they never are!

ALMOST BETTER THAN HOME!
By plover, 12/3/07
Deb and Nick have changed my mind about staying in a B&B. Their inn is warm, clean, inviting and they make you feel like family from the moment you step foot in their door. The surroundings are beautiful, decorated to every detail and quiet all within walking distance to town. Breakfast is a special treat and we will return in a heartbeat for another relaxing weekend real soon.

Awesome!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/14/07
We were in town on New Year's Eve on the spur of the moment. When we called the Inn, they found room for us! It was beautiful and they even took the time to find us a place to eat dinner. The breakfast was amazing, and the owners are wonderful. We can't wait to come back and spend more time there. Thank you so much!

BEST B&B IN ROCKPORT MA
By Mary JoW, 10/24/06
The Innkeepers Debbie and Nick are the most warm and welcoming people that I feel like they are my family away from home. I loved their inn so much that I insisted on staying there this past summer on our wedding day in July! I don't know how anyone could ever be unhappy with their stay at the Seven South Street Inn. Debbie was so wonderful she even steam ironed my wedding dress for FREE! Now that is great service. They also serve a 5 course gourmet breakfast every morning that no other B&B offers in Rockport and it's absolutely to die for! I already have my plans made for summer 2007 which will be our 3rd year in a row staying there. Many of the guest we met at breakfast each morning told us they spend one or two weeks there EVERY YEAR! The stay may not be cheap, but when you figure the hugh savings of not having to go out and buy breakfast and lunch it really is a good value. The rooms have also been updated, but still retain their period design and are adorable! I guess even the best can't please everyone and I am VERY picky. The only problem I have is Debbie and Nick have ruined it for us because we will be comparing all other B&B's to theirs and theirs will be hard to beat! I look forward to many more vacations at the Seven South Street Inn.

WONDERFUL VACATION SPOT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/25/06
Lovely inkeeper.Lots of attention to personal service, like, what you can or can't eat as she has a FULL breakfast, therefore saving you not only the money but supplying a homey atmosphere to share with several other occupants.Sample:Friendly greeting, fresh fruit smoothie in fancey flute, fresh banana rolls or something of that sort, eggs benedit w/hollan- daze sc.,endless coffee even Senseo dispenser for gourmet variety(tea, decaf anything real cream, local bakery toast.Rooms are lovely and inviting, always new linens(ironed!)and up to date fur- nishings still with period touch.Added a bath to each room of late.Price is in keep- ing with cost of living, but you get so much. This area is artsy, with a quiet, more relaxed feeling, for contemplating and basic "getting your head straight" time. Thank you folks for such a wonderful visit. Mr. & Mrs. Mathews of St.Pete Fl.
