Hemlock Inn, Blowing Rock

What I liked about the Hemlock Inn was that it was close to town. What we didn't like was the uncomfortable bed, lumpy and hard. There was no place to sit and watch tv, they did bring in 2 different chairs for us to sit. Still not the most comfortable chairs. Small accomadations. The room and decor was dated, but if the bed had been a little more comfortable we would have stayed and enjoyed our stay. They would not even discuss it with us, just said that they have a 7 day cancellation policy, no refunds. Would not stay here again.

Owners are helpful and the place is within walking distance to anything you want or need in Blowing Rock. Have always had a great time staying there. Would readily recommend this business to those that need a place to stay and have never been Blowing Rock. Prices are on equal to the area. Only negative thing I have to say and agree with other reviews is they do need to update the furniture. The beds are sagging badly-quite worn, Giving a not so nice restful night.

We stayed at the Hemlock Inn for the first time for a christmas tree package. We had a great time at the inn and at the tree farm. I can tell the owners of the inn hand pick the tree farm for the guest to work with. The suite was great for our large family. We loved the location to main street. The staff was very friendly and helpfull to us. We have already reserved for next for our family tradition of getting christmas trees.

The location is just off Main Street and it is very convenient for the Parkway and local attractions. I found the motel a bit dated and tired but it was clean. Floral sheets and chintzy decorations added to the tired appearance. The bathroom was quite small but there was lots of hot water. I didnt find the manager particularly helpful or welcoming. Overall it was a good location but a bit disappointing in terms of accomodation and a bit overpriced at $110 a night (but this probably reflects Blowing Rock rather than the hotel). I wouldnt go there again and wouldnt recommend it to a friend unless they were stuck.

This inn was ok...cute, country style..over priced for accomodations but all locations in that area are priced high..We stayed there in January, it was really really cold and so was the room...seems like there was electric heat and we were very cold....

We stayed at the Hemlock Inn for the first time in July. We could just park our car and walk anywhere. The Inn was one bldg off main street. It was so nice to walk up to the fourth July parade and not try to find a parking place. I have already made reservations for next year.

This hotel is in the perfect location in downtown Blowing Rock. Withing walking distance to every part of Main Street. I used to live in Boone (10 mins away) and frequently visit the area. I love staying at the Hemlock Inn because the people are friendly and the rooms are very nice. Also, the shower head we had in our room gave quite an experience. I couldn't speak after the shower was over because it was so hard, but I loved it. I'm not sure if other rooms have this type of shower head, but sensitive people might want to check that out first.

Thank you for all your wonderful hospitality. This Inn is getting to be our favorite place to stay.The people in the office are so helpful and friendly, which makes our stay so nice. When you're far from home, it's nice to deal with friendly people. Thank you.
