Would Stay Again!!
By Erin, 10/28/09
The hotel was in the perfect location in Helen. A short walk to the shops and the fest hall was across the street. The room was really nice and affordable. I loved the hot tub and fire place in the sweet, it made the room really cozy. We got there on Saturday night during Oktoberfest which is crazy. I so surprised that I didn't hear any outdooe noise at all from the partiers that were staying at the hotel or just passing through the parking lot. The breakfast that was included was the nicest I have ever seen at a hotel and I have stayed and worked at quite a few higher end places in Florida. The staff was really helpful. I will recommend this hotel to family and friends Thank you Super 8.

The most disgusting dump ever...
By Denise, 08/12/09
seriously. These previous reviews about how "clean" this dump is have to be rigged or a joke. This was the nastiest place I have ever stayed in right from the the filthy carpets and bedspreads, to the broken ac unit with a tray full of visible moldy and spore filled water sitting right underneath the window sill, to the trash which was left behind by previous guests and over looked by housekeeping, to the clouds of dust which wafted from every lamp. To make it even worse, our room was filled with the nauseating stench of cheap commercial air freshener which was an obvious attempt to cover up the musty smell of mold and mildew. Then there was the "indoor heated pool". LMAO! It was not indoors (it was in a makeshift greenhouse), the water was not heated, the banister was a wobbly safety hazard, and there was a big rust stain in the bottom center of the pool. This motel was also exceptionally noisy. There was no shortage of semi-retarded drunken rednecks willing to blast music all night long and if they didn't keep you awake all night, the ridiculously loud ice machine would. I would recommend that anyone travelling with small children avoid this bacteria trap like the plague.

Good Stay
By Kenneth, 12/25/08
Had a great stay. For an economy priced motel I was very happy with the staff and the room.

Don't stay here if you want sleep
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/08
This is a decent hotel close to Helen. But that is the problem because we experienced very loud guests that partied all night long literally until daybreak. We were able to get maybe 3 hours sleep. Parking is also very tight and inadequate. This hotel is clean, a decent price, and close to town, but we will not stay again because we need sleep. Stay here if you like the party crowd and you will have a great time.

Perfect!!!
By Amber, 02/19/08
This place was perfect. The room was spotless and really great for how much you pay for it. The staff was extremely friendly, one of them actually let me use their cell phone with free long distance to call my daughter when I couldn't find a calling card. The location was great, right in the middle of Helen and in walking distance of everything. If you want a place to stay that's clean, friendly and convenient, then you should stay at Super 8. I can't wait to go back.

July Weekend in Helen
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/07
We made our reservations and were told we could check in after 1500. We did not get to check in until almost 1615 because it appeared that they were under-staffed for cleaning the rooms. The night of the 6th there were very loud guests and it appeared that the motel staff was fine with it as long as they werent bothered. We had to get two smoking rooms because of availability and they smelled so bad that we had to go get air freshener to feel and smell clean. The Days Inn right next door appeared newer and cleaner from the outside.

Cool Pool!
By angela, 05/28/06
I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Helen because it is inexpensive, however, it is clean and it has an indoor heated pool. It is very close to downtown Helen. It is within walking distance to shopping and food. The only downside was that we had to drive 25 miles to the nearnest walmart. But that was fine. Great little town, good hotel.

I give it a 10
By Kadesha, 10/17/05
This is where we stayed on our honeymoon in Helen. The jacuzzi room is very big, clean, and nice. It also has a fireplace. It's very cozy. The staff is friendly. We always stay here now, even the regular rooms are great. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Helen that wants to stay in town. It's close to everything, it also has a pool that is in a covered area with a cute fountain. My husband and I love it, and now our kids love to go there too.
