Pine Knot Guest Ranch, Big Bear Lake

my friends and i stayed in the Bungalow cabin and we can't wait to go back! it's totally 70s style decor inside but the layout is great and it easily sleeps 6 people. It was definitely worth the $99/night. The location was great and it was in walking distance from the cute village in Big Bear. The customer service was great and they even had free movie rentals and a couple board games to take to your cabin. All i can say about it is it was AMAZING!

We were looking for a nice quiet pet friendly getaway with our two dogs and Pine Knot exceeded our expectations. It’s hard to find places that will accept pets. We stayed in cabin 16 over the Christmas Holiday and can’t wait to go back. The cabin was clean, updated with cable and Wi-Fi access. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the snow on the property and visiting with the llamas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A few short walk took you to downtown Big Bear Lake with ample restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend Pine Knot Guest Ranch to anyone with or without pets looking for a nice quite getaway.

My husband and I found this wonderful place a few years back and plan on returning many times in the future. We just returned from a wonderful weekend there. The decor is really nice, we've always found everything very clean. The wonderful fireplace and inside jacuzzi for 2 is wonderful. The help is always very friendly and helpful. It was raining and possible snow was on it's way when we were getting ready to go and the owner even called me to advise which route would be the best to get there with the road conditions. I thought that was a very nice extra thing to do. And it did SNOW what a specail week end.

We have stayed there year after year. Its so quiet and beautiful there, and when it snows its really great. The kids love walking the llamas, and the playground. We all love the jaccuzi tubs. Location is the best. We go there every winter.

My husband and I really needed to get away and this was the best place. We stayed in the cabin up on the hill. The double jacuzzi, complete w/ candles,sparkling cider, and the fireplace were all just the ticket. The scenery and all were just wonderful. Would recommend anyone to the Pine Knot Guest Ranch. The workers were very friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Pine Knot Guest Ranch was beautiful. Can't beat the location. We brought our dog and he had the greatest time playing in the snow and sleeping by the fireplace. The owners were very friendly and check in/out went smooth. Our cabin felt very private and cozy. We were very pleased and can't wait to come back soon!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Tree House Suite. When booking, we were told an elderly couple lived above the suite, but we were informed upon arrival that it was actually the owners. Upon arrival we were also told quiet time was at 10pm. The worst part was the yellow stains all over the sheets of the bed. They closed the office at 4pm so we were unable to contact anyone when we noticed the disgusting sheets at 6:30pm. And, at 10:15pm we were promptly called to turn down the television. You can't sit in the jacuzzi and listen to the TV at the same time then. The room was beautiful, but I was very dissatisfied with the sheets and quiet time. When I told the manager about the sheets, she assured me that although stained, they were clean. Well, thanks! Big bear has a million options and I'd look into a different place.

My husband and I went here last year for our 20th wedding anniversary and absolutely loved it. A comfortable bed, romantic fireplace and spa tub for two with candles was just what we needed to spend an entire weekend alone together! We can not wait to return annually to our new favorite place!

I had read the prior 2 reviews before making my reservation. We stayed in a Cabin in Aug 2005. It was not clean. The furniture is very outdated. The microwave takes forever. My son wanted to play golf on the little putting green, but it was full of pine needles that had not been swept in months. The rug was a rust shag that I did not want to take my shoes off. When I checked out I told the owner of my disappointment with the cleanliness and her response was "I am sorry. Any other problems?" That to me was an indication that she did not care! Would not recommend for any future visits to anyone...

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. We were so pleasantly suprised and are already planning our next trip. The cabins are immacualte with all the comforts of home, the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and they take pets. We took our dog for 3 days and it was the perfect place to stay. Centrally located on Pine Knot Ave, only a 5 minute walk to the village, very close to the Lake and Ski areas and yet in a very quiet and secluded area. I would not stay anywhere else...this place is the best!
