The first review is from the owner of the hotel, so don't be fooled. Reserving a room at this hotel is near impossible since they have four people who manage the desk who can't bother to communicate with each other. We tried reserving a block of rooms for our wedding and were told that we would have to book them in 4 different blocks of 7 rooms apiece and each block would have a different name in the wedding party AND a different confirmation number. After doing this, we had family members call up and try to use the confirmation numbers -- only to find out that those weren't any good any more because they had changed their "system" for booking rooms. We then called and set up new confirmation numbers. Another family member called in and couldn't use those either. When we called back a different person told us that the new system didn't use confirmation numbers and that the previous person didn't know how to use the new system. We were also told that we couldn't book all of the rooms because they hold some in reserve for "walk-ins". So we had guests call in and book up all of the rest of the rooms outside the block first. Apparently the "walk-ins" were out of luck at that point! Bottom line: we walked next door to the Royal Rest Motel and had the entire place booked for our wedding in less than 10 minutes and have had no issues booking rooms there. I highly suggest you use the Royal Rest when staying in Chariton.
