Prairie Hotel, Yelm

August of 2009 was our last stay, but have stayed there over the years more than a few times. Rooms have always been clean and spacious. Fridge and coffeepot are nice to have also. I have found the staff to be both friendly and helpful. The rooms did have a great view of Mt. Rainier but with the expansion some of the older rooms may not have that! The last time we stayed the expansion had begun so our view was quite original and rare. It looked like the beginning of a giant swimming pool with big equipment parked in it. LOL We were visiting on our back to Eastern WA. we had quite a roomful and they allowed us to use an air-bed in our room. It was far the least spendy room of the entire trip and way more accomodating than most. I have also attended an Anniversary open house there and the room that was used was set up very nicely. I am looking foward to a stay again in April, anxious to see how the expansion looks now. We like it there! Oh and Lacey is more like 20 miles from Yelm to where there are any Motels.

I loved staying here. The staff was fabulous, we also got the pleasure of talking with the manager she was extremely helpful. The room was spotless and had all the necessities we were looking for. Apparently they have an expansion opening in June 2009 and then a complete remodel of current motel. We can't wait to go back. With a quality hotel, movie theater, restaurants and shopping why stay anywhere else.

Great experience from making reservations thru checkout, room was clean and had the ability to keep food refrigerated, had coffee maker and overall was a good experience, will stay here next time visiting yelm.

Reservation service careless with no apology for scheduling error. Instead, we were accused of not really having a reservation. Happened on our 6th visit - done every July. Management rude. Maid service fair. we are long time customers with no prior misconduct on our part. when I expressed my opionion, I was told not to return. My voice was normal leverl and my words proper at all times.

This is the only motel available and it shows in the pricing... You pay WAY MORE then the dumpy little rooms are worth! Plus our room was not very clean. TERRIBLE experiance... Next time we will drive the 5 miles or so from Lacey!

Prairie hotel is fabulous, all the people are very helpful and the service is excellent,we stayed there last july and it was terricfic, we can´t wait to go back!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Prairie Hotel. The rooms were very spacious and clean and the staff were awesome! Yelm is only about 30 minutes away from Olympia, so its a nice place to stay if you don't want the city atmosphere. I would stay here again.
