Great location but little else
For what we paid for our room, I expect more than what we got from the Oak Tree Lodge. We had the King Suite, and it was still a disapointment. The whirlpool tub was big, but the jets were very weak. The carpet in the room was stained in two large places and the mini-fridge didn't make anything cold, and the TV in the living room was small. The private balcony overlooked a field with horses which was nice, but the balcony had 11, yes 11, different spider webs on it with large spiders. As far as the good things, the staff was nice and the pool had a water slide.
The room was not a very good value for the money. We paid the same amount per night at the Seaglass Tower in Myrtle Beach and had a very nice whirlpool tub, 2 flatscreen TVs, a full kitchen, and our balcony overlooked the beach. I would not recommend staying at the Oak Tree Lodge to anyone.
