Sugar Loaf Lodge, Sedona

June 2010 My husband and I stayed three nights in this small motel in Sedona because we called ahead on our iPhone and got a low quote and it seemed like the best price for a clean motel. Upon arrival we double checked the quoted price. A cleverly chatty clerk conducted a confusing checkin and checkout. Be careful!

This is the first place I've stayed in that I haven't had to almost get on my knees to get under the showerhead! It's also in a good location, close to alot of stuff, friendly staff, at cheaper rate than most other places. My room actually came with a kings sized bed, and one extra single bed! The only thing, which I think is the same with most hotels, is the heater/airconditioner is abit loud when running, and that's really the only airflow available.

This was a great place to stay. Out of 'downtown' Sedona. Very friendly staff. Our room was clean and the bathroom had a great shower. Pool and hottub were a plus too! I would recommend the Sugar Loaf Lodge.

If you were driving around Sedona looking for a place to stay you would definitely drive right past Sugar Loaf Lodge...and keep going. It’s nothing to look at from the outside but I found my 4-night stay there to be pleasant and more than adequate. My room had a comfortable king size bed. The room was very clean; linens and towels were fresh. My room had a nice size color TV with full cable access. A refrigerator and microwave were an unexpected surprise. Each morning there is a free continental breakfast in the office with coffee, juice, yogurt, assorted pastries, etc. There is a pool which looks like it was recently added. I did not take advantage of it on this trip. Would I return to Surgar Loaf? In an instant! If you’re going to attend the Sedona International Film Festival (as I did) you’re just a 2-block walk away from the theater. If you're a first-timer to Sedona, don’t drive past Sugar Loaf Lodge!

The price is right in over priced Sedona, room was clean and comfortable, easy to find, good service, small breakfast(muffins, etc.)small pool and hot tub. The motel was not on the tourist strip, but only a couple-minute drive. The view is not great from the motel, but you've got to go for a hike when you are in Sedona. Thought it was fun that they had colored linens. No hair dryer in our room. It's not anything fancy, but it's clean and priced right. We will return.

We booked 3 room for my daughter's wedding (us, the girls, and Pastor & family). The groom's family ending up staying there also and had at least 3 or 4 rooms. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Everyone exclaimed how clean the rooms were and couldn't get over the cost. We would definetely stay there again!!

This place is GREAT! The Sugar Loaf Lodge has become the only place I'll stay at in the Sedona area. The owners are real people, the rooms are clean and very comfortable, the price is consistently VERY reasonable and the location is in the heart of Sedona. Beyond all the tourist exploitation, The Sugar Loaf Lodge provides a wonderful, friendly place to rest and relax.

This place is a great place to stay if you are looking for reasonable prices, friendly service and a clean basic motel. We have staying here for over about 10 years and it has always been consistant service.

We stayed here in September 2006 we had a great time, the hotel was clean, friendly and you can tell the owners have pride in this hotel this will always be the place i will stay when i visit Sedona, the views of course are breathtaking and everything you need is near by, resturants, stores its the complete package.

The price, the location. Everything else in Sedona is very expensive. It is nice to know you can get a decent clean room in a good location for a low price. Because of this, I recommend it to everyone!!
