Good and Clean Hotel!
By Burton, 06/19/09
Stayed at the EconoLodge last week. This hotel is actually in an excellent locale to access the prime areas and and walking distance to shopping, restaurants, coffeeshops and likely some good star sighting if you're so inclined. The rooms are not the Ritz or the Four Seasons so don't expect that. What they are is clean and functional. The service from the hotelstaff was For the price we paid the room was great, I would probably stay there again if need be.

Okay rooms, horrible staff
By Norwegeriffic, 08/04/08
The rooms were affordable, and clean when we got there, and cleaned during the day while we were gone. This was good. Other than that, the staff was either difficult to communicate with or just completely rude. I tried calling to figure out how to get from the airport to the hotel, and it didn't seem like the guy that I was talking to knew what I was asking. I went down to request a late check out the day that we were leaving, and when the girl at the desk said I couldn't, I had to show her my Choice Privileges card and the brochure saying I could. She accepted it, but with a lot of attitude. Later, I went down to check out, and no one was at the front desk. I waited for about 10 minutes and called from my cell phone. I think the same girl picked up, and just told me to leave my keys and hung up without checking to see if that was all. I was going to ask to leave my suitcase there so I could get food before heading to the airport. I tried calling back, and no one answered. I ended up just taking the bus back to the airport.

Nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/08
I had an internet base rate of 58.00 so I booked this hotel seeing I was landing in LAX around 10pm and had to catch an early morning flightthe next day. It was close to the airport and has a shuttle service. I called the front desk when I landed and asked for the shuttle. With-in the hour I was at the hotel only to find the front desk clerk asleep. I called knocked, yelled, banged on the bullet proof glass that surrounds the front desk and I called the hotel from my cell phone only to get a mans vioce on an answering machine not even the usual hotel greating, ' hi youve reached so and so im not able to take your call at this time...' I really thought I was in a nightmare. I couldnt wake this guy for a half hour. I called Choice central and they called another number and woke the man up. He checked me in without even an apology. He charged me 75 dollars and gave me no recipt. I came to the desk in the morning and guess what? HE WAS ASLEEP AGAIN this time barefoot. I did wake him this time and asked for a recipt and he said he couldnt give me one as the machine wasnt working.. I left and called choice central and expressed my dislike for the way the hotel was running and told they about the price difference. They over charged me 10.00. I was told that the hotel manager would contact me and I still havent heard from he or she... maybe they are sleeping...DONT STAY THERE.....

Met my Needs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/05
Close to LAX. Area a little seedy, but the motel is secure. Clerk was pleasant and helful. My non-smoking room was clean, everything worked. Very good rate for LAX area. Better motel than Motel 6 and $18 less. Morning Newspaper. The deck needs paint. Bare spots in green paint with concrete showing though give negative impression. Other maintence looked OK. I'll stay there again.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/05
I LIKED: - the location, it was close to where I needed to be - The Saturday newspaper, I didn't get one Sunday I DISLIKED: - The torn comforter - The broken rail in the bathroom - The fact that the cleaning lady left my window wide open when I had closed it, so that all my personals were revealed to whomever walked by - To use the iron, you need to have a $20 deposit - The loud sound that the pipes made all throughout the day - On the website, an alarm/radio was supposed to be in the room, but there was not one.
