We're a traveling act that played at the PA Ren Faire this year and on top of the BED BUGS the rooms terrible smelling, moldy in the bathroom, water damaged and poorly cleaned. If you value your blood, DON'T EVER STAY HERE. We had BED BUGS and even after showing the staff one of our party's arm that was clearly bitten at least 30 times from hand to shoulder they wouldn't even move us into another room after we calmly asked. They had at least two more available but the owner wouldn't make it right. We checked out before even laying our heads down and went to a motel about 10 minutes away that actually values their customers. These clowns wouldn't even refund the money because they said they "Couldn't find evidence of bedbugs in the room". BS!! I'm sure they found it and just didn't want to give us our money back. On a side note, the young man at the desk was very nice and tried to help us but the owner had absolutely no desire to make things right. Bottom line: There are plenty of other hotels within a 10 mile radius that value the state of their hotel and appreciate your business that are within 10 bucks of the price of the Penns Woods.This place should be condemned.

First red flag - behind the desk there is a sign that says: NO REFUNDS AFTER 10 MINUTES. The room I rented was filthy. No running water when I went to the desk to ask for another room they said they were filled to capacity and I would have to stay in the waterless room. I then asked for a refund and wanted to cancel that is when they pointed to the sign on the wall. The repairman finally showed up and after he confirmed that i truly did not have water they miraculously found me another room. The rooms smell like dirt and smoke. The bed linens are disgusting. Floors are so sticky and dirty that you would be afraid to walk bare foot, I took a walk behind the building and i found massive piles of junk and garbage. The remote for the television was melted as if it had been through a fire. I didn't need it since the tv only got 1 channel, The continental breakfast is literally a loaf of cheap white bread a toaster and 2 jars of cheap jam/jelly. The internet they talk about is one out dated machine that is actually the desk clerks work station. I have never left a review before but I had to leave this. I was stunned by the entire situation. This is service at it's worst. This place should be condemned or at the least the owners should redo everything. It was so bad I left after 72 minutes. No refund - no apology. I left with my head and tires spinning.

This place was filthy. They charged the credit card and refused to refund the money. They even laughed and said thanks for the money. Seems like they depend on people booking and not staying. The rooms were woo filthy to stay even one night. Sixty of us had to relocate to a Quality Inn in Lebanon.

We have stayed in small motels before but this was really bad. When we walked in, the guy at the desk never acknowledged us for quite awhile. He was busy looking at something on the computer (God knows what). Even after giving our name, he couldn't find our reservation but we saw a list of reservations with our name being the first on the list and the prices everyone else was paying and most were lower than the $60 rate we had. Then he wanted to charge us $84. We told him no and told him we were quoted $60 rate (we probably could have made up something lower, but we're honest people). He really should not have been working the desk. He had a dazed look on his face and not friendly as the other reviewer had mentioned. It was like we were interupting his computer time. When we asked him if there was a winery in the area (which is mentioned as an attraction and only two doors away from the place), he said he didn't know. Seriously, you can't miss the winery if you walk out the door and look to the left we just hadn't come from that direction to see it before we got there. The winery is a nice place but that is the only thing in that area. The first room he gave us a key for #444 was either already being used or hadn't been cleaned. When we went back to the desk, we were given a key for Room #441. Both of these rooms were in the back of the motel away from other people, and we were worried all night that our car would be broken into. The room itself was small but that didn't bother us. What was bad was the mildew and sewer gas smell. We didn't realize it until later because we didn't go into the room until later at night. But even with running the fan/air conditioner all night it made us sick. If anyone has allergies, don't go here. You will get sick. The bathroom had brown stuff on the walls that was either splattered waste or mold. The comforter had mildew on the underside when we folded it down. The door had an inch of space between the frame and door when it was closed and we did have to kill a couple of bugs that we saw crawling across the floor. We never went for the continental breakfast which is shown as only donuts and juice because we just wanted to get out of there and breathe some fresh air as soon as we woke up. Seriously, I would not stay there even if someone paid me to because it made me so sick. Anyone who comments it was good, must have had a room in the front area of the motel maybe it doesn't smell up there.

We were supposed to stay in this place for 2 nights. Upon check in they had already charged my credit card for 2 night stay. We brought our 2 children. We booked 2 rooms. Both rooms were very filthy and very dirty. The bathrooms, bedding, carpets were moldy and unclean. There was a dampy smell. We still decided to stay for the night because we got there late. Both of my kids started coughing and sneezing throughout the night. The following morning, I contacted the front desk to get a refund for my 2nd night since we decided to check out early in the morning but the person in front did not know how to do that. I had to personally contact the manager 3 times through his cellphone just so that they don't charge me for the 2nd night. The manager was in Jersey and was not in until around 3pm. That was the worst stay we had and we will definitely stay out of rodeway inns in the future. Beware and stay at your own risk, esp if you have kids.

I liked the location it was great, my husband and I picked this off the internet we did not have any idea what we were getting, but as it turned out the room was very clean, the staff very courteous. We have stayed there a total of 3 times and each time just got better and better. When I made the reservations the first time I was quoted $35.00/night by staff person (I will leave the name out) and when we checked in the person at the counter quoted me $58.00/night, when I gave the confirmation number I was given the $35.00/night with no problem. We had 2 double beds, the room was very clean, the only problem that we had is there was no refridgerator which we did not know, but the staff was very courteous and brought us a ice chest filled with ice in which they replenished daily when the cleaned the room. My husband and I will definately stay here again each time we visit the Rennaisance Fair.

Good location. Just off I-76. Gave my credit Card but the guy never gave the card back. Realized that evening that my card is missing. Called up the hotel from Lancaster and was told that the card is there. Those guys never felt to let me know as I was in my room for one hr after check-in. I checked-in an hr early but was let in. Never did I realize that the room was not cleaned up since the last tenant. Bathroom was messy with used towels on the floor & used-soap everywhere. The shower stall is so tiny that one can barely fit in. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen! The room with a one double-bed is so tiny. The carpet is not good either. They advt Continental B'fast but not a crap was there when I got to the front-desk at 9 am. Not even coffee! The food area is a just about 10 x 10 in area! I regret staying there but did book because that was the lowest I got for the time I was there ($58) in that area. No more Rodeway inns!
