Windjammer Motor Inn, New York

I thought the value from this motel out weighed the negative aspects this motel had. Great location. Good staff. A little bit on the dirty side, but what do you expect in New York for paying only $85 a night. Well worth it.

As soon as you walk in..it smells... as well as the carpet..it was dirty..you wouldnt even want to step on it even with your shoes!! The bathroom is nasty as well..even clorox wouldn't do the job!!

First of all, the carpet had semen stains on it. There were hairs in the bathroom. The wallpaper was coming off. It looked and felt like a dump. After spending an hour there me and my boyfriend tried to fall asleep but couldn't because we heard loud music and people talking. At first we thought it was the loud people in the room next to us, however then I went to the window in our room and when I pulled open the curtain there, I saw a crowd of people standing, smoking, and the music apparently was coming from the club right next to our room. Not to mention we had smoke coming into our window from the people smoking in front of it. Saying it was Awful is an understatement.

The ceiling was cracked. The bed covers had cigarette burn holes and heavy smoke smell. The couch was torn, stained, and smelled like smoke as well. The room just had an overall dirty feel to it. As mentioned in another review, it does feel unsafe as well because the door was unbelievably thin and did not block out any sounds from the hallway at all. I suggest paying extra money and staying at the Holiday Inn which is right next door, because the stay at the Windjammer will defintely be an unpleasant experience.
