very relaxing place to stay

i loved this place because i fished off the dock everyday and caught bluegill,largemouth bass, catfish and northern pike my wife and my 12 year old son stayed there and we kyacked used the paddle boats and really really enjoyed it i would strongly recommend the cottage we stayed in because of the comforts of home and the recreation. we went to ausable chasms and white face mountain. if you do decide to stay at any of the property owned by steve hilbert at saranack lake you are cheating yourselves by not taking the time to meet steve and linda hilbert they are awesome people and know how to take care of people looking for a good time excellent service very clean rooms and the location was great.

Great Place to Stay in Saranac Lake

I have been staying at Sara Placid Motor Inn for many years now when I visit my brother at the Ray Brook FCI. I have been here for all the four seasons. I will continue to stay here. The owner is a great guy! I would highly recommend it.

Very nice

The Sara-Placid Motor Inn was very pleasant. The room was very clean and furnished beautifully. Beds are the comfiest I've ever slept in away from home! Owner was very pleasant, offered to show us the rooms and gave us a discount and free upgrade to kitchenette when he learned that we were in the area because our grandfather was in the hospital nearby. Price was a little higher than we had hoped to pay, but well worth it.
