A Great Place to Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/11
The bed was nice and firm so I slept great. The sound of the water ebbing and flowing, the drawbridge (yes, it was for me a wonderful maritime sound and not very loud at all.), the breakfast and most of all the staff. Also warm cookies and the cheese plate in the afternoon not to mention the yummy breakfast pie that I watched Katie make the night before. The docks out front that I looked down on from my balcony, the red rocking chairs on the balcony, enjoying a glass of pinot while rocking in those chairs watching the fishing boats motor out to sea and the seagulls and pelicans fly by. I think it's great the couple who own this place let people fish off their piers. There's actually a large yard to sink you feet into and a really soothing hot tub under a latticed, vine covered trellis. There was nothing I disliked/dislike about this place. It's down a street away from the rowdies that hang out along the water front yet only a five minute walk to all the restaurant and shops. And it still is on the water.

Not a friendly place to stay.
By Jon, 3/10/10
Do yourself a favor and stay at the Inlet Inn instead. The prices are better but more importantly the view is much nicer and the owners and staff are very hospitable. I checked into this place (Beaufort Inn) only to get kicked out within five minutes after the owner saw me walking my 10 year old black lab down the street. She loves to travel with me and has a bed in the back of my SUV. She goes with me everywhere and never barks or causes any trouble. The owner was a jerk in front of his staff and other guests to me over my sweet old dog sleeping in my vehicle. I do believe in karma as it turned out the Inlet Inn was a better location as you could walk to local shops and restaurants and it is much quieter as the Beaufort Inn is right beside a drawbridge and it is very noisy when the cars go by.

Great Rooms- Beautiful View- Friendly Staff
By Avidchick, 1/24/09
This beautiful inn is nestled on the waterway the leads into historic Beaufort, NC. My husband and I spent the week here and loved every minute! From waking up to some great breakfast pie (the innkeepers specialty) to walking along the waterfront and sampling the fantastic stores and restaurants, to ending the day in the inns hottub- this place can't be beat. I have already recommended this place to my friends and family!

Couldn't ask for more!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/4/08
We had a wonderful stay at the Beaufort Inn and plan to return when possible. The breakfast is delicious--would drive many a mile to have a slice of the breakfast pie. We felt welcomed by everyone and loved the family feel. You could see the contentment of other travelers as people gathered around the fireplace to read, talk and relax. We would, and already have, recommended this inn to everyone we know who travels...just a lovely refuge.

Cleanest Accomodations You'll Ever Find
We have been going to the Beaufort Inn for what seems like our entire life. We have always been pleased with our stay and find the staff extremely friendly. I look forward to the breakfast at every visit. After all, how many times can you say you've eaten from a kitchen with a sanitation grade of 101? The breakfast pie is delicious. The rooms are so well kept and I always leave there feeling refreshed. One of my favorite activities is taking a bike ride down to the waterfront and through the streets of Beaufort. We will continue to visit the Inn for many years to come.

We only stayed here for the location.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/08
My first impression was this is a great location on the water. After that this is the only thing this inn has going for it. I would not usually write such a review but I feel it has been some time since a review was written and visitors should know what to expect before they get here. The room is small and dated with a queen size bed. The breakfast is the same everyday,365 days a year!!! Sausage egg type quiche, bought from a club and baked. A little too greasy. A stale crossant(each day we thought it would be fresh but it wasn't) We tried to sit out back to watch the boats go by,but there is no shade, only direct sun and the umbrellas do not adjust so you can tilt them to get some shade. As the sun goes down it gets worst and you can not sit out back at all. We moved chairs to give us some shade. It was just outside the gated area from the hot tub that no one used, when we were practiculy pulled from them and were told, "guests that wanted to use the hot would feel uncomfortable walking past us sitting in the area near the hot tub.It is an outside hot tub next to the parking lot. The chairs are for guests that want to sit in the sun and the chairs must not be moved from the deck at anytime. The man that ran this place was in need of a hospitality course on how to treat guests and not flexible or nice in any way.One would think if you are paying $200.00 a night you would at least get to sit in the shaded areas. There were no other guests outside, and not more than 1 or 2 after that. Also you better buy your paper in town because they cannot spare the 50cent newspaper from the pile they have. The do have good coffee, but hurry the coffee is only from 3pm-5pm. The morning breakfast people were very pleasant and they are lucky to have them there. There is no pool. This is not a place for families with children. There is nothing for them to do and I get the impression not child friendly.

Great Accommodations

Very warm, friendly environment. Relaxing balconies looking over the water. Rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast pie was outstanding. We will visit again in the future.

Quaint Waterfront Accomodations
By deborahs, 5/23/05
The Beaufort Inn has been a great place to stay on several occasions, throughout the changing seasons. The rooms are spacious and airy. The location is lovely, in the heart of historic Beaufort. One can easily walk to an array of shops, restaurants, and pubs, where during the weekends there is often live accoustic music. Whether watching the sailboats blow through, or the wild banker ponies graze peacefully on nearby Carrot Island, the visitor can be assured of a relaxing and well appointed room, with an unparalled view ... Of course the Southern grace and hospitality one receives doesn't hurt either!
