Travelodge Great Barrington, Great Barrington

Even though we had booked the room a month in advance, they lost our reservation. We were placed in a half finished Jacuzzi room over a storage area.The sunken tub was just sitting in the room, it was not installed. There wasn't insulation under the floor, so the room was freezing no matter how high we set the heat. During the night, we had a snowfall, so the innkeeper left a broom by the stairs leading up to our room. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been washed for a while and the sheets left a lot to be desired in the way of softness. (sandpaper would be the right adjective) If it hadn't been over New Years, or part of a business trip would would never have stayed. The place was an unorganized mess. Never again

Thanksgiving night stay for less than $70 with tax was half the price of some of the competition. Very clean, recently renovated room with firm bed, big TV, free wireless internet connection, microwave, refrigerator, clock radio. What more could you want? Only complaint: loud heater/AC fan.
