Lady at front desk looked as though she could care less about you, or life in general. She was short and vacant looking. The stairwell/hallway was scary and smelly enough. The large metal door slammed behind you. You felt like you were locked in a very dim-lit slasher-movie stairwell. The hall to get to the room was dim as well. EVERYTHING SMELLED HORRIBLE! The room was "non-smoking" and that was a joke. Smelled like someone had been smoking and living in there for 80 years. The door jam was not secure. The trim was even coming away from the wall. You could just pull it off, like someone had kicked the door in... and I would have been surprised at that. Scary burly men standing at every corner. Needless to say.. my aunt, cousin, and I found another place to stay where we were more secure in the feeling that we were not going to become vicims of some horrible crime on the nightly news.
