Pointes North Inn Charlevoix, Charlevoix

I took a job in Charlevoix and until I could find a permanent place to live stayed at Pointes North. What a great choice. The hotel location is absolutely within walking distance of everything is the beautiful resort town. The condo type rooms are beautifully appointed and extremely clean. I truly enjoy the decor and comfort. Continental breakfast every morning and a hot jakuzzi every night. Three Flat Screen TV's in the suite I stayed in for a month. Outdoor Patio and comfy interior furniture. It was quiet and across from two of the most popular restaurants in town. I enjoyed a walk to the beach which was only a few blocks away. Later when I found a condo to lease I would put my guests up at the Pointes North. Later on when they returned they called and made their own reservations. It is that kind of a place. The staff makes you feel so welcome and tell you everything you want to know about what there is to do in this charming little town Charlevoix. I have worked for major corporations where I lived out of a suitcase for weeks at a time. Even though I stayed in sophisticated New York and Paris Hotels, Pointes North is amongst the top for convenience and just plain old great hospitality. Truthfully, I did not dislike anything about my stay at Pointes North.

If you are visiting Charlevoix, Michigan, the place to stay is Pointes North. The hotel is quaint, in downtown Charelvoix where you can see the bridge on Pine River channel going up for the saillboats and large yachts that frequent the area. The hotel is clean and friendly with an indoor and outdoor pool that my family thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms have large flat screen TV's, with an individual outdoor area or porch. Most importantly, they do have some pet friendly rooms, so we were able to bring Lady with us!!! It is conveniently located next to the best restaurants, marina and beaches where we could walk to everything. We already reserved a room for two weeks this summer to catch the outdoor art fair and weekly events. One suggestion: book early since this is a favorite of anyone who's in the know. If you want to stay at a place where you feel at home right in the middle of the action of northern Michigan, the place to stay is Pointes North!

We decided to have a nice little getaway weekend to relax with the family. Pointes North Inn is exactly what the doctor ordered! We had such a great time the staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the room was amazing. We stayed in a two bedroom unit 208 it had a full kitchen, pull out sofa, two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, jacuzzi, and fireplace. It was so nice to actually have room to stretch out and not feel like you are stepping over each other. My family loved the place and it will be hard going back to a regular hotel room after enjoying what a condo suite has to offer.We will certainly be back again!

After reading the negative reviews I had to post my wife and my fondness for Pointes North Inn. We had our wedding in Charlevoix last year and had over 50 guests including ourselves staying at pointes north. We not only stayed there but they were amazing in providing us with the use of their conference room for our rehearsal party. Everyone and I mean everyone loved the place and many of our family planned to return some of which were from Canada. As far as the price of 300.00 not sure where or when that was because we had no one paying over 180.00 a night for a condo retreat.

We showed up after a long trip to a room that was extremely messy. I went down to the front desk for them to tell us that they could not do anything about it. The next morning we asked the front desk to make sure that housekeeping came in to the room to clean it properly. We returned from a wedding to find the beds made, but the room still in the same shape. Hair all over the floor, bathrooms with urine stains and carpet that had "unknowns" everywhere on it. We then went to the front desk again to be told that there was "nothing they could do about it". The front desk staff was rude and very unhelpful. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
