Not a good night's sleep
By David, 9/2/10
The mattress was hard; the sofa was softer. Hallways "echo".

Not a great hotel
By JoeG, 10/16/07
This hotel was OK, but nothing special. The location was good. There was a pharmacy next door, which was convenient, and a small shopping center close by. The property was clean, but needed refurbishing. The bed was an experience. It was like sleeping on the side of a hill, a very hard hill. I longed for my soft mattress at home. I'm glad we were only spending one night. I will try some place else the next time we go to Millinocket. My wife enjoyed the pool, and the hot tub.

Never Again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/07
I arrived at this hotel end of June 2007. I came to this hotel as a previous guest of the Katahdin Inn and nothing has changed, other than the hotel has gone down hill. The rooms have mold on the ceiling tiles, the rooms have a undescribable odor, and the beds are broken, torn, and have holes. I think the beds are probley the same from when I stayed here years ago. I have never seen a desk staff as helpful and informative as I had seen at the Econo Lodge in Millinocket though, I dealt with two desk people, a female around 8pm (Angela) and a male around 9am (Matt), I'll always remember how caring the were thoughout our stay to myself and my family. The housekeepers were sloppy and didn't pay attention to guest request. I asked one of the housekeepers to add an extra set of towels for my daughter and I still had to go to the desk and request them. I would not recommened this hotel to anyone other than going to the desk and asking for area information. I would never stay another night in this hotel, unless I seen some major renovations being done. They lost me as a customer, a customer that comes to this area about 5 days a month. I would like to thank the desk staff for making my stay as plesant as it could be in a hotel as such.

BAD smell
By James, 9/18/06
Our room smelled like an outhouse. Dehumidifiers in the halls, wet carpet. We complained and they changed the room. There was only 5 car in the parking lot that night, hardly full, why did they put us in a smelly room??? For the price we paid, I would expect a lot more.
