Nicolaas Witsen Hotel, Amsterdam

Everything is perfect to this hotel. The location, the friendly staf, the nice rooms, the breakfast. I do not understand the review below, because we had the best hotelexperience ever. Maybe there is changed a lot in the last 2 years.

Facilities are reasonably clean and the location is ideal, however the staff and the management weren't overly concerned in the least bit about customer service. The middle eastern evening clerk was so rude to the point that I suggested to him to please stop talking because of his unprofessional behavior. I guess it was unusual for me as a hotel guest to ask were there any late night places to eat. This same person had the audacity to show the same hostility to my wife an international call for no reason whatsoever?? The following morning the included breakfast consisted of one soft boiled egg two slices of cheese, meat and several slices of bread,which one had a live green worm on it. It didn't occur to the waitress to remove the bread from my table after replacing the contaminated bread it seemed all to be a nuisance to her. My only regret was that I didn't take a picture. Management was nonchalant about my encounters and did nothing. They didn't seem sympathetic and didn't bother to apologize. Basic courteous customer service is nonexistent.
