OMG pass this one by!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/08
If you've no standards at all then this is the place for you! This was horrible. By far the worst place I've stayed in my life thus far! I arrived as a late arrival because it was a long drive away from home. Upon check in I was forced to pay up front and now I see why. There is no way anyone would ever pay to stay in this dump! OMG the room stank. The sink looked like it had vomit in it. It did not drain right. The toilet barely flushed. There was a tampon in the trash. Hair in the bathroom and no toilet paper. I asked to be moved to another room but was told they were overbooked and I could not move until after check out the next day. I was moved 2 doors down to a room w/o toilet paper and towels. They were nice enough to bring some toilet paper around 3pm and assured me I've have towels shortly. I returned at 8pm to find there were still no towels. Big surprise right? My eyes were swollen from the stench of smoke in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Finally at 8:45pm I was graciously given 2 bath towels, one hand towel and a bath mat. I could not take a bath though because the plug for the tob was missing and there was a huge hole in the tub where the overflow drain usually is and I was totally creeped out there was a camera belonging to some wierdo in there. UGH, this trip was not over with soon enough for me. I asked at check out to speak to a manager to negotiate some kind of partial refund but nobody was available and I'm still waiting to hear from someone. Of course they're a franchise but I have contacted them and corporate. My suggestion is to pay the much higher prices and stay at one of the 2-4 places directly across the street from the university stadium if you're going there for high school regional events. I left there feeling like I should be sprayed and deloused. Horrible place!!

Worst Hotel I Ever Stayed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/08
First, they had increased the $44 rates to $79 since San Angelo was over run with lawyers and media. The room was filthy. Worse, the door would not lock when closed or when on the inside with the latch. They changed our room next door. It was even dirtier. The bath tub was half covered in a black greasy dirt. We had one hand towel and they never brought more. There was no mattress pad; just a sheet on a nasty mattress. The owner did not seem like he cared since they were full because of the occupancy in the town. NOT RECOMMENDED EVER!

Horrible!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/06
1st room - floors not vacuumed, bathroom not cleaned, smelled like smoke for non-smoking room, filthy sheets, hair & black dots all over sheets, burn holes in sheets,no comforter on 1 bed. Moved to 2nd room: not great, but better than 1st room. Called front desk on Sat. morning for fresh linens & towels, front desk said it'd be 15 mins, never received. Came back to room around 9pm, still no fresh linens nor towels…went to front desk & retrieved myself. I left message for manager at front desk when we checked out. He never called. I called him, he said he'd send me an email with 1 free night's stay. He never did. I've called him 6 times since the stay, leaving a message each time. Finally talked to him today, he refused to refund my money, only offered a free night's stay. I will NEVER stay there again NOR do I recommend this hotel AT ALL.

Needs Lots of Improvement
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/06
The paint was peeling off the door to the room. The complimentary continental breakfast was not offered, get this...because it was New Years Day. I would never stay at this hotel again. I would pay the higher price and drive the extra distance to a nicer place.

good value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/05
nice clean room for the prices we paid. The staff was knowledgable about the area and dining. The niteclub offered a very relaxing atmosphere after a very long trip on the road.

Ms. J. Pratka
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/05
The sheets were wrinkled as if they had been left in the dryer for days and the carpets were filthy. The price was not economical either!! There were no apologies for the condition of the room-just moved to another one just like it! If I had more time, I would have written to the hotel and to my credit card company about the less than satisfactory accommodations. We just wanted a clean, neat economical room for 1 night for the family to stop over.

don't count on no-smoking room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/04
We had a very hard time getting a no-smoking room at this motel. We had to request a room change twice because the smoke smell was so overwhelming in their "no-smoking" labeled rooms. One room even had ashtrays on the table. Other than that, service was okay and the breakfast decent.
