Would not go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/09
First off the decor in the rooms reminded me of my grandmothers place. The walls were thin so you had to be super quiet! Small portions at breakfast. Overall we looked forward to leaving

Would not go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/12/08
We went on a one night package deal to include a bottle of wine in the afternoon, plus a 3 course meal. The wine did not arrive till 6.30,so we thougt we would take it into the resturant to enjoy with our meal. How wrong we were, they wanted 25 dollars corkage, although we had already spent 450 dollars on the package. Also we came out of the resturant starving, the portions are so small they would just about feed a mouse.Would not recomend this place if you like your food.

New Hotel and Spa Great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/07
Returning to visit in Nov 2007 after missing our stay in 2006 we are pleasantly surprised by the new rooms and addition of a spa. We almost didn't recognize the place! The rooms are small yet simply decorated and the beds are soooo comfortable. We enjoyed a steam in the spa and relaxing in the quiet room. Selection of herbal teas was a nice touch. The service was friendly and very helpful. We prefer to visit when it is not so busy in town and Nov is a great time to stay in Niagara on the lake as long as the weather holds up. We will be back next year.

Customer Service +
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/17/07
Upon entering the Oban you know that you are going to experience something truly extra-ordinary. The staff are courteous and very obliging. Our room was upgraded and we were treated like royalty. I cannot recall the last time I experienced true customer service to extent that the Oban Inn provided during our short stay. A must stay Inn in Ontario.

New Rooms & Spa Great!
By Celia, 10/8/06
The newly decorated modern rooms in the Inn are really nicely decorated and the beds are soooo comfortable. There is a new spa which is so private, my husband and I had a couples pedicure and massage. The perfect spot for a short getaway without the kids. We will come back!

The Green Room Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/06
We'll NEVER go back. The room was uninhabitable. The noise from the restaurant fanswwas VERY LOUD. When that was over (at 11 PM) the noise from the air conditioning condensers (for the whole hotel ) took over. While the room was air conditioned, there was no thermostat, so the roomn was very stuffy. That meant that we had to open the window so we were kept awake all night byt the noise. Early in the morning trucks came into the driveway right next to the room. When we complained to the front desk they were very nasy and unresponsive. When we decided to leave they threatened to charge us for the whole five-day stay. We have never had that experience in any other hotel. That room is one of the more expensive ones-$225. YUK!
