It Was Great!

On a two week, cross country junket, my wife and I spent two great nights at the Chanticleer Inn at Lookout Mountain.
Our room was very cozy - clean, quiet, neat and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable too. The grounds were well kept, with paths for quiet strolls in the cool, mountain air. There's also a large, sandstone patio that's a good spot for relaxing with an evening nightcap.
The breakfasts too, were excellent. With a nice view of the grounds, and colorful birds, through the dining room windows. And lest I forget, the staff was the best. We even met a lady who was the mother-in-law of our son's company commander at Fort Knox. What are the chances of that?
In short, there wasn't a bad second to our whole time there, and we were genuinely sad to leave it. We'll never forget our time at the Chanticleer.
