Absolutely beautiful

I have stayed at several of the downtown Napa bed and breakfasts and until now I thought they were fine. Traffic and residential neighbors on the other side of the fence all seemed to be part of the Napa B&B thing. However on my last trip in September, I decided on the b&B that was not downtown - The Candlelight. Wow. My girl friend was really happy at how beautiful the grounds were, especially the outdoor pool area. The room had a feel of costing at least $100 more than we paid. Breakfast was a treat and Wendy really knows the Napa Valley. At our wine touring stops - Cake Bread (incredible), Jessup (very nice) and Trefethen (good wine), we were always greeted with even more hospitality when we said we were staying at the Candlelight. This is a perfect place for romance.

Romantic getaway for the two of us

Met up with an old girl friend to rekindle our flame up in Napa at the Candlelight Inn. Never had stayed at a bed and breakfast before so this was going to be a new experience. First off, the place looks like it is out of a story book with it's tall pointed Tudor-style roof. Inside the innkeeper showed us around the breakfast room and other areas especially cool was the pool and gardens in the back. If there is one word I would use, it would be enchanting. The room had a great big jacuzzi tub - oh what fun that was - and a fireplace. The elevated bed was great and for our time there we were in our own special paradise. Come morning the breakfasts were delicious and off we went to wine taste and tool around in the Napa Valley. I will say this the innkeeper's suggestions were right on. We had a fabulous time. The Candlelight Inn is a great spot for romance...
