Very uncomfortable beds!
We have stayed at this hotel 3 years in a row and found it to be getting worn out, especially the beds. Only queen beds are offered, which are very uncomfortable. The bathroom is small and the sink counters are very low causing you to strain your back by bending over. the carpet is new along with the chairs and couch. The new chair and couch are very uncomfortable. The door hardware is worn out and almost impossible to get the room card to work. There are 4 large semi-tractor mobile storage unit containers that are sitting in the back parking lot taking up space that I was told are filled with new furniture, mattresses and bedding. These have been out back for two seasons now. Are they waiting for this stuff to rot and mold before putting it in the rooms?
Now the good points. The maid service is excellent, the rooms are very quiet and well serviced with ample towels and toiletries. They are very pleasant and helpful. The front desk clerk at check-in had a very stern attitude. Not what would be expected from the Marriot staff. The other staff has been very nice. USA Today papers are available during the week, if you get up early enough. The breakfast is a cooked hot breakfast that includes scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, toast, yogurt, bagels, jams and jellies, waffles, juices and coffee. The breakfast staff is very pleasant. The location is very good, but not right on the strip which makes it quieter. Haven't seen any buses here either. The free wireless internet works well also.
Would we stay here again? Maybe in a couple years if all the upgrades are made. We plan to go elsewhere next year.
