A very classes hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/10
The services were great, I was treated like a King. All the staff were very polite and professional at all times. It is a very safe and peaceful place to stay. The surrounding neighbor doesn't compliment the beauty of this hotel.

Great Hotel/Outstanding Service/Great People
By Doris, 11/11/09
Sure the neighborhood could use an overhaul but the Diamond Hotel in Manila is a great place. The people that work here couldn't be more helpful and you can tell that their friendliness is genuine and not fake. If you're working out of the embassy for any length of time, the Diamond Hotel is the way to go.

An aging hotel in a very sleazy neighborhood
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/08
Everyone is very polite, the buffet is pretty good and the hotel is somewhat overpriced and rundown. There's a whorehouse across the street above/behind the coffee shop. The bomb searches are a little different as are the guards across the street with machine guns. The beach is probably the most filthy and polluted one I have ever seen. If you have the nerve to walk thru some of the streets on the non-beach side of the hotel, you will be approached by everyone from beggars, muggers and prostitutes to the teenage boys trying to sell you viagra, cialis, etc. I stayed there for several weeks on business. I can't imagine why anyone would go there, given a choice.

Sweet but Overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/08
A beautiful hotel. The rooms are clean, with the air flow smelling clean, the beds are firm american standard size, showers have good pressure, small but watcheable tv, a clean pool. All in all a nice place to stay either while on vacation with ones family, traveling as a student or on business. The only proplem I saw was that the rooms are priced higher than most hotels in the states so if you are on a budget I would recommend staying at another hotel if no budget and you dont mind being ripped off stay here.

We will be back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/07
The rooms are in excellent shape. Bathrooms are up to date. Beds were standard size and did not smell. My family enoyed our stay. The only thing that needs improved is it would be nice if American Filipinos with family ties still in the Phillipines could be charged the local fee rather than the non local fee for rooms. But all in all we enjoyed our visit to Manila and the Diamond Hotel.

Expensive but ok
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/07
The Manila Diamond Hotel is over priced by American Standards, $125per night. It needs to drop the price on rooms and commit to the fact that middle class american tourists with families with family ties to the Phillipines do not want to be overcharged for rooms that have standard sized beds, a bath, tv and small fridge.
