Sleep Inn Sarasota, Sarasota

The hotel has a new owner who has done many updates. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It is close to the airport but we did not hear the planes. The cost is reasonable. We will definitely go back.

Stayed at this hotel for a tournament. The rooms were extremely small. Beds uncomfortable and only full size not queen. A/C loud and only cooled at night. Hot during the day. Called ahead 2 days before arrival about washer availability - told they had one. On arrival was told it was broken and I inquired for how long - OVER A WEEK! Lied to and at this point to late to go somewhere to wash the players uniforms. Breakfast selection was terrible. Purchased items to heat up in the room. On last day requested a 30 min extension for checkout so we could let the players return to shower before heading home - denied. However another team at the same time was allowed the extension. First time our team parents and myself have ever felt like we were discriminated against. Will never stay here again, or at a sleep inn or reserve my employees a room at a Sleep Inn.

The hotel was hot and dirty! Got to our room the overhead light did not work. The bathtub facet was coming out of the wall. No water pressure in shower. The room was very hot and filthy! The staff was rude and unfriendly. When we asked for extra towels we were told we could only exchange dirty towels. We explained we did not have enough for everyone in the room. The website said microwaves and refrigerators, not in our room. When asked if they would unlock the breakfast room so we could use the microwave we got the 3rd degree...Our bed sheets and comforter were dirty and soiled. When I asked for a new one, they said they would change it. We came back to the same dirty bedspread on our bed. The night clerk said she personally washed it..We asked for a 7am wakeup call, got a call at midnight confirming, only to have a 4 am wake up call. This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. I think I would have been ok through it all, if the staff would have been nicer and more helpful. I would never stay in this hotel again and will even consider never using Sleep Inn again! It definitely was not worth $110 a night!

From the moment I booked my room, the staff was very friendly and courteous Kudos:) The hotel was beautiful. I love the Florida colors! The breakfast bar was very good with hot and cold items.(just add chocolate) This hotel is directly across from the Sarasota Airport! It is also within walking distance to The Ringling Museum. This hotel will for sure be my destination time and time again!

I had checked in yesterday, and I must say I was put at ease. You know how some hotels are very impressive that you do not feel comfortable and you feel like you have to be on your best behavior? Sleep inn Sarasota was the complete opposite!!! The staff was very nice. They offered directions to where I wanted to go and believe me, in a strange city, that is a huge help. The room was very confortable,breakfast was good too. I will definitely stay with them if I come back to Sarasota.

I had chosen this hotel because of location,but fell in love after getting their outstanding service. I had checked in late and inquired about car rentals late night. Next day the gm followed up with it and got me into a rental car and arranged for them to come and pick me up. How great is that? This hotel is very affordable and quiet. I will come back .

We checked in yesterday, and right away I fell in love with the place. Everything was just so CUTE!!! The staff was very courteous and efficient, room was very clean,bed was sheer HEAVEN!!! and I slept like a LOG!!!. I had asked for a wake up call and I was so sorry to get one this morning.When I went to check out, the lady at the desk was being yelled at by another guest, but I have to say, she was very classy and kept her cool. She took care of them,and then smilingly turned to me and took care of me. At that point, I even asked her" how do you handle such irate and rude guests and still keep your cool and she replied- I give them the benefit of doubt and pray that god will give them wisdom" My hats off to that lady at the desk there.WOW.

We are coming back to this one. The staff went above and beyond their call of duty. I was stuck at the airport at 11.30 pm. When I called the hotel ,I was quoted a very reasonable rate ,and the GM came to pick me up. I got checked in very quickly, was given an apple and a glass of milk when they found out I had not eaten all day. The bed was so comfortable, I dropped off to sleep right away. The next day ,I relaxed by their pool till lunch and then took my flight back. I wanted to leave them a tip and they would not even take that. -That is what I call service. They have a customer for life. THANK YOU Sleep Inn sarasota .

Just stayed there for 5 days. Sorry we did. Room very small. Had too ask front desk for soap and shampoo twice (for $109 a night I at least want soap!) Slight smell in hotel lobby and elevator. No room refrig, nothing except coffee maker and hair dryer. Room was cool at night. Would have left there but spring break had few hotels with availability for 5 nights. On just a few occasions could hear airplanes from airport across street. Breakfast was ok. We'd give it at best a 2-3 star.Talked to others while there and some had similar experience but were there only 1-2 days.

My wife and I originally only reserved a room for 2 days, but after falling in love with the hotel, and the super friendly staff, we extended our stay for 4 more days. The staff went above and beyond our expectations! They were constantly giving advice on places to visit and eat. In the 6 days we were there, we only visited about half of the items mentioned. The room layout worked for us. The breakfast room was conveniently located on our floor, and the hotel's location was central to everything we wanted to do. We highly recommend going to the Ringling Museum! We walked over there on Monday, spent an afternoon at Shelby Gardens, and went to Siesta Key Beach- Definitely worth the #2 best beach rating! Overall, we completely enjoyed ourselves and will absolutely be staying here again in December when we return to the States.
