If something is wrong, not worth the risk!
This place is the worst I have ever been. Being a scuba diver, I am used to hotels that are not ‘up to snuff’; but this place and the people running it are ridiculous. We reserved a room online based on their website and descriptions of the rooms. We got there on the first day and they did not even have a room in the resort that was described in the website. Traveling with 2 children, a boy and a girl, we were careful about what kind of accommodations we were looking for.
When we got there, there was no running water in our bure. Finally after almost 3 hours, they sent out an electrician to fix the plumbing. Four hours after we got there, we finally had running water; running water yes, but hot water NO! They refused to move us to another bure where there was hot water. Instead they said to take our showers in the bure next door until they could ‘fix’ the water in ours. Personally I think they did not want to charge us less by moving us to another bure. The ‘manager’ said he could not move us because the reservations ‘manager’ was not in; a quick look around showed there was not a full house and, in fact, there was at least a half dozen empty bures along the walk from ours to the front desk – a trip I took many times.
Finally after two days of no hot water (and an absolute refusal by the manager to meet with us-he kept sending the poor barman to try to help us), we decided to get out of this place and tour the island again to meet the real Fijians we had encountered before we got to Club Fiji, people who were friendly, helpful and ready to help one in need. A Great decision to leave! But will they give us any sort of refund for failing to deliver even the basics of a hotel room –NO!
My advice is to never stay here. It may be nice, for the rest of the staff was nice, the place is a lovely place even if there are a few bugs (it is the tropics). But if anything goes wrong, forget it. It is not worth the risk and you will never get a straight answer or a refund.
