Banks Mansion, Amsterdam

Beautiful room. View wonderful. Breakfast great. This hotel has it all. Close to everything. The bath tub was fantastic.

We stayed here for 5 days on our honeymoon, nicest hotel we have ever been to. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakast was good, but the best of all everything was free. Sodas, beer, water, whatever you needed, at the lobby or in your room. Absolutely amazing place, would go again for sure!

I thought the hotel room was comfortable and very nice, rooms are smaller then american rooms, but who needs all that space,Breakfast was great.It was easy to get to right off the tram. Great location. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

A little expensive but a great place to visit.Beautiful room, great service. Just remember to be sober when you make the reservations. Just a little sticker shock.

We just returned from our holiday in Amsterdam. We had gone for a family wedding, and this was the first time we have not stayed with family. We wanted to experience Amsterdam as real tourists. After spending a great deal of time researching hotel choices on the internet we finally decided on Banks Mansion Hotel. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The location was excellant for just walking out the door and being in the center of things. Everything within walking distance. We had a beautiful room with a view of the canal and the street. The air-conditioning was great to have and we had comfy beds with our choice of pillows. The complimentary bar fridge in our room was so handy, and was always stocked. The staff went out of their way to look after us and were very friendly. Breakfast was great. There was everything anyone would want from smoked salmon, assorted cheeses and cold meats, to your choice of eggs any style or omelets, waffles etc. We felt we got excellant value for our money. It was so nice to come in from an afternoons shopping and sit in the "Living" and have coffee and pastry or a nice glass of wine in the evening, all from the complimentary bar. We will return for sure. Can't wait.

Although service was slow and the cleanliness was not very good, the location was beautiful. I had a very gr8 experience there. The hotel looks very fancy at night. The image in this website is just about a quarter of it's whole beauty. Because of the service and cleanliness, Maybe that's why the hotal is only 4 stars.

Great hotel, really comfortable and a beautifull room we had. Breakfast wasn't extraordinary, but very good anyway and certainly enough. Everything was perfect except for that one receptionist woman who I believed was a bit sick of his work (on the beginning of June 2004)... Wasn't very helpfull at all. But the hotel was about perfect.:)

We really felt at home. The so-called Back Home concept has lived up to it's name. Staff are extremely helpfull and the price was just right. We will certainly come back!
