The Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort, Panama City Beach

We stayed the week of Aug 7-17 2010 in a villa and it was amazing..far exceeded our expectations..Our frig wasn't getting cold and within 10 minutes the staff briught a brand new one that still had all the packaging slips on it..Staff friendly and amazing..My 22 month old loved trying to get lobster out of the machine and kept looking for his"prize"...had such a good time and the beach was out our back door...

If you like a room that smells disgusting, has very nasty carpets and a staff that is "wonderful" as long as you have no issues.... then this is the place for you. I could not wait to get home and take a shower. Ridiculous.

If any hotel knows what they are doing when it comes to excellent staff and amazing amenities... then its the Sandpiper Beacon!!! From the minute that we pulled into the parking lot we were welcomed and the front desk staff are so helpful. Whatever we needed they did whatever they could. There was constant security and guest services walking around, entertaining guests and lending a hand with whatever we needed. We felt very safe and comfortable there as if it was our home away from home. The rooms are a bit older but very clean and well kept. We loved that our room had a full kitchen so we wouldn't have to eat pout every night and having a grocery store on sight made it even better! Also on sight was a mini putt putt course which the kids loved! Plus an indoor lazy river which came in handy on some of the rainy days! Our family went during the summer time of 09' and the Sandpiper had all kinds of activities for the kids like face painting, balloon art, a magician, family movie nights, inflatable water slide and my favorite- Hula Lessons from authentic Polynesian dancers! All of these things were free! We only left the property once but that's it. They have everything we needed! Lets just say we have already booked our room for summer 10' and the kids can hardly wait! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great time at the beach for a great price and awesome value!!!

The amenities are great, IF you get a descent room! We did NOT! Our room was awful, many things broken, rusted...slanting, dangerous balcony!

We LOVE the resort. 2010 will be the fourth year and counting. We get the same room every year, it is always clean and ready for us. The ladies that take care of the room are polite and very helpful. The people the work the front desk are the best. The Tiki Bar has the best entertainment and the best service. I told many of my co-workers about Sandpiper and they have booked rooms and they were happy with the resort and the service. We go for Thunder Bike Week, we stay for 7 day and wish we could stay longer. They treat the bikers like brothers and sisters. Would not even think about staying anywhere else. They are always upgrading the rooms. If you go to PCB you need to stay at the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort.

This was first visit to the resort and loved everything about it! The location was perfect and the atmosphere was great, we paid $69 a night for a side ocean view room and were more the pleased with the view. The room was a good size, king bed, sofa and a loft that had a double with a TV, the room also had a microfridge/wave. The bathroom was small, but for 2 people it was great. There were plenty of things to do, for kids and adults and we can't wait to take the kids next time!

Every aspect of our September 2009 stay at Sandpiper Beacon was first class. The room was as advertised, as was all the amenities. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty to do. This is the only place we will stay in P.C. from now on. Thanks formakingour grand kids first trip to the beach perfect.

there is alot of things for ever age person to do. you don't have to drive around. the resturants are in walking distance. I don,t recall not disliking anything. It has always been a very clean place to stay and have fun.

We spent a week at Sandpiper Beacon Resort. This was our very first family vacation and we enjoyed every single moment of it. We enjoyed our stay so much that we intend to make it our anual vacation spot. We noticed that all activity on the beach was at our resort, I have never seen a place that was so family friendly. Our room was perfect for us and we enjoyed all of the extra activities provided by the resort. Our children loved Karaokee, they sang every night. It was nice to find a place where we felt comfortable as a family. There were 7 of us in all, my husband and I, two 19 year old boys and our 4 children ages 9 and younger and there seemed to be something there for all of us to enjoy. I will recommend Sanpiper to everyone I know and will definitely be back for our 2010 vacation, if not sooner. Thank you.
