Radisson Resort at the Port, Cape Canaveral

I stayed with the Radisson on Aug 9-10. The room was fine and everything went well. We left on our cruise on Aug 10-15. On our return we had to rush ourselves to be able to get on the shuttle. In such a hurry we got dropped off at the entrance of the hotel and were left with missing two bags. As our arrival home we realize that the two bags were missing. We called the hotel and first spoke to someone by the name of Bethanny she pretended to look for the bags ( I say pretend because it didn't even take her 5 seconds to come back on the phone). She told me that we had to call back in the morning. Are you kidding me? Why do I have to wait for the morning to get a response back? I called back and asked to speak to the manager, that same person answered my call and said that he was in a meeting to call back in 20 minutes. I waited and called back it sent me twice to voicemail. I have left several messages to the manager and no answer. Is this what you call professionalism? At least he should have called back and hear me out. I waited the next morning and spoke to house keeping. I spoke with Andy which was very nice and told me that he was going to speak to Brian the shuttle bus driver to see if he had our bags. I still have not heard back from them and I have also left other messages. I NEED SOMEONE TO RESPOND TO ME!!!!! Is it so hard to get a call back?????? This really ruined my whole vacation. I forgot to mention that in those bags there were $1000.00 worth of stuff. Thank you Radisson staff for ruining the rest of my vacation.

We purchased the park & cruise package. Stayed two nights and parked our truck where instructed (by front desk). Security gate was not working when we checked in and still not working 9 days later. When we returned from our cruise we found that our locked truck tailgate had been stolen. Left message with Assistant Manager for Hotel Manger to contract us, two days later still had not heard from him. Called and left another message. Still nothing. Filled out Hotel customer survey - received no response. While filing report with Sheriff customer came in and reported another vehicle had been broken into. Would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here the night before our cruise. We checked in around 8pm. We were greeted immediately and the staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the whirlpool suites, I believe it was room 606. An arrival our room looked alright. Several light bulbs were burnt and the couch was full of stains and holes. There was very little issue with noise. The bathroom was nice, we liked the large shower stall. We did not use the whirlpool but noticed a used bottle of body wash left on the side of it. Ew. Our sleep number bed would have been great had it worked. Our kids slept on the sofa bed, which I almost hated to put them on. We did have to call the front desk to get blankets and such for them. There are sheets in the closet but not blankets. In the morning two of us woke with red bumps that looked like mosquito bites. Unfortunately, we never did inspect the bed before or after sleeping in it. Over the course of the week, the bumps began to worsen which is why I suspect bed bugs. After a little reasearch, they do resemble bed bug bites. We did notify the staff about the sleep number bed not working. The really didn't care and just shrugged it off. I would have expected at least a discount towards our next stay but they offered nothing. We took the shuttle to the cruise port. This was relatively painless. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes from our check-out time until we got on a bus to the port. The pool at the hotel looked nice. We did not use it in the evening because it did seem to be occupied by a more "adult" crowd. But we did eat breakfast by it in the morning (McDonalds is across the street if you don't wish to stand in the very long breakfast buffet line..) and if we had time we are pretty sure we would have enjoyed the pool. The pizza place next door, Kelsie's was pretty good and was open till 9pm if you are in need of a late meal. For our next trip, we will not be staying at the Radisson. There are several hotels close to the cruise port so we would suggest researching some of those before booking here. Also, it's after-the-fact but we have found websites that show reports of bedbugs at hotels. We did see one report for the same month that we stayed at the Radisson. It is certainly worth looking into this before booking any rooms.

Our party had three rooms. All the rooms needed to be update.

Staff was extremely friendly. Offered free shuttles to Cocoa Beach, Port Canaveral, and Kennedy Space Center. The shuttle loading was organized chaos (meaning although there were a lot of people with a lot of luggage going different places, Clark had an awesome hold on the reins of getting everyone loaded up and to their destinations). The room was clean. The sleep number bed was VERY comfy. Although the menu at Flamingos was a whole lot of seafood which I don't like, there are enough places nearby to accommodate one (McDonald's, BK, Zachary's, Kelsey's Pizza, etc) The pool was BEAUTIFUL, although throughout our visit it was loaded with kids, even after it's hours at 10 pm. I will ABSOLUTELY stay again! Beautiful, safe area (saw cops every 10 minutes or so patrolling the area....they make sure it's safe for the tourists and I always felt safe, even walking after dark). No unusual odors in our room. Did not feel the room was out of date. I thought it looked gaudy and retirement home-esque in the pics I saw, but when I got there, it just felt tropical to me instead. It far exceeded my expectations and I found it to be extremely comparable price wise to the other area hotels...and I do a LOT of price shopping! They also offer free parking to guests while you cruise! Definitely recommend!!

Before we left , we read some reviews that really put this place down so I was a little worry about staying there , guess they are just hard to please. Our stay was great. The staff was very friendly and went out of thier way to help you. The room was very up to date. We had the select comfort beds. The room even had a celling fan. We had the cruise package and read the area that you parked your car was unsafe. Not true. The lot is very well lite at night and not once was I worried about leaving the car there. The pool was really neat and clean and was a welcome break after driving from Ohio. Would I go again , in a heart beat. Next cruise out of the area , we'll be back.

We have stayed at this location four times (2004, 2005, 2008 & 2009). Three of those times were 2-3 day stays associated with cruises, the other was a 7-day stay. This is a GREAT place to stay, mostly because of the staff. The rooms are nice, the beds are very comfortable and the restaurant serves great food. However, Bean, Brian and Jonathon make the stay very nice as they keep the pool area and the Tiki bar running smoothly. They are also very helpful with visiting local sites. You are just a couple of miles from the beach and just a couple of miles from great restaurants around the Port, in Cocoa Beach and other areas (like the Village). It is a great place to use as your "home base" as you visit Orlando and a great place to return to after a long, busy day. It has a great pool, our grandchildren loved it! The first visit we drove from Maryland and used the "cruise package" feature that allowed us to pay $50 to park our vehicle there for a week while we cruised. It is a secure sight and much cheaper than the parking lot at the port. They have a very well scheduled shuttle service to the port that leaves every half hour.

I stayed at the Radisson in Cape Canaveral for 4 days in August, 2009. The room was very comfortable and clean. Will stay there again if the situation arises. The only issue I had with the room was the thinness of the walls which seems to be a universal issue with hotels these days.

We've stayed at this hotel several times. Most recently 10/08. The renovated rooms are VERY nice; great colors & "sleep number" beds. You can choose the firmness of your bed, which is a great feature. Location is close to the cruise ports & deep sea fishing docks. (But not oceanfront). Tiki bar & pool area are very nice. We will stay here again.

I will say that the location of this hotel is great. It is convenient to the port. I would not vacation here if I were not cruising. There is not a lot to do in Cocoa Beach. Minimal restaurants and entertainment. This hotel was typical. The pictures on line make it appear nicer than it actually is. The pool area is very nice but the rooms need some freshening up. We stayed in a 2 room suite and it was Ok but nothing great.
