DoubleTree by Hilton San Antonio Downtown, San Antonio

This hotel has terrible service. We were told we would get a mini-fridge and microwave on 3 different occasions and never received them. The front desk, housekeeping or the careline never answers their phone. The breakfast is way over priced. The ice machines weren't working. The pool is small and business center needs more computers. This hotel charges for everything even internet at $10 per day as well as parking. The rooms are small and the there is a sliding door for the bathroom with no lock so it's very inconvenient if traveling with family or friends.

We stayed at the Doubletree this past weekend. It was wonderful. The staff was extreemly courtious and helpful. The room was great and the sleep number beds were an added bonus. The breakfast was great although the dinner menu was a little limited. The bar staff was very good but again the selection was limited. The shower was very nice and strong and had plenty of hot water. The internet access was great. The only drawback to this hotel is it is a bit of a distance from the local attractions and it cost a bit to park at each of the attractions. Overall it was a very plesant experiance.

My fiancee' and I stayed 2 weekend nights and will probably stay here exclusively whenever we visit San Antonio. The staff was almost unrealistically nice and helpful from the front desk and hotel bistro employees to the maintenance and maids. Our room was clean and pleasant to just be in. It was a very comfortable experience and a priviledge to stay here!

Awesome hospitality! All of the staff at the Doubletree were courtious and friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed the complimentary cookies and swimming in the clean pool! The location is wonderful! It is only 3 blocks away from Market Square. You can catch the trolley from the front of the hotel. We took took the trolley so that we could enjoy the scenery on our way to the River Walk. The only thing we would have liked the hotel to have is a free breakfast. I will recommend this hotel to anyone going to San Antonio.

Likes - We came to San Antonio from Dallas for a mini vacation we stayed from Friday to Monday during Memorial Day Weekend, we had 3 adults, 1 8 year old and a 2 month old baby. We liked how close it was to Interstate 35 - easy on and off, we liked how clean the hotel overall was, our rooms, linens & pool, we loved its location - so close to great resturants, Alamo, Riverwalk, etc..., loved the fact that the provided us with printed out simply directions to shops, locations and especially sea world saved us the time of having to look it up! The staff was nice and helped out with luggage, towels, etc... Overall we loved this hotel and would stay here again and again! Dislikes - None at all

First off the hotel staff are the most unfriendliest hotel staff I've ever meet, and the morning girl who works in the coffee shop when she's not on her cell phone is down right rude. The hotel is filthy and the rooms smell and floors remained dirty all four days we stayed. The outside pool was murky and nasty to the point were I wouldn't let my kids go in. We asked for a 3 star hotel on hotwire and this is what we got. This was definatly not a 3 star hotel. I would not recomment this hotel to anyone, but will inform others about or stay..

Attended a reunion & spent three nights at the Radisson. I really didn't expect to much, but to my surprise this hotel was awesome. Everyone was so nice. The hotel was very clean. This was my first time in San Antonio. I'm planning on going back next year and i'll be staying at the Radisson. Thank You, Radisson & keep up the good work.

we stayed here for 2 nites over New Years. They left no clean towels and no coffee.We went through Expedia for our reservations of two rooms.We were to have sleep number beds in each room.We had none.We were told you had to request them.Not true.We feel Expedia misled us or the hotel did. We made our reservation five months in advance!!Watch out when you plan a trip through Expedia and this Hotel.

Very nice and great place. Folks working there were wonderful except for the little guy at the front pushing the vacation package thing. I'd definately recommend it.

We go to San Antonio about 8 times a year for weekends. this was our worst experience in over dozens of SA visits! I booked on line, paid $180. with tax, for a King bed with a roll away for my sons to share. We checked in, they told us the roll away will come up shortly. 1.5 hours later I called the desk and was told they have no roll away's left and they said "you're outta luck." I explained that I have two children- 3 and 5 year olds, which now have no where to sleep. The manager told me to let them sleep on the floor! The room was dated, the place was NOT clean, and they refused to alter the price of the room, or even give us a free breakfast! The manager knew that at 10:30 PM on a Saturday night, I had no other lodging choices. He even told me "you aready paid, so if you want to leave, go ahead." They were rude and unaccomidating. We got ripped off - and I am telling you all so you don't make the same mistake! BEWARE!!!
