BEST WESTERN Mountain Lake Inn, Saranac Lake

Stayed for 4 nights. Large, very clean Room, Bath, Hallway's, Pool, and Lobby. Grounds are well kept. FREE WIFI.(Used it in my room everyday and one near loby for those without one). Free Newspapers(USA Today & Plattsburg). Free Fruit in lobby. Staff Very Helpfull at every level. (They even moved the furniture in room around to the way " I " wanted" it.) Restaurant right next door owned by Motel. ALSO very Clean, good food, and Very fair prices. Staff Great. I highly recommend BOTH very much.

I had a job interview and I needed a place to stay in Saranac Lake, New York. I picked this hotel because of the location to my job interview. The staff, Tyler, Bill, Bill, Doug, Phil, etc. were very friendly and professional. Bill came out from behind the desk and showed me places to visit on the map by the computer. Tyler told us where to eat at in Lake Placid, and Doug made sure we have the room in the location where we wanted it. One of the staff members programmed our laptop to receive wireless connections for FREE. The house keeping staff was at our room all three days within five minutes after we called them. Very attentive and they paid close attention to detail. Everything was perfect for us. The only minor suggestion I could think of was to perhaps a microwave in each room, and maybe a few more vending machine selections. However; the tourist season starts in May and we were visiting in April. For first timers like myself, maybe having a wall of with tons of menus for the local eating places and the times might have been nice. Really I give this hotel 5 stars out of 5 stars! If you all take a taxi, you all may want to try Corrow's ADK Taxi, Phil, Roger, and Mike know the area very good and are the most friendly taxi cab drivers you all will ever met! This taxi cab company is PROMPT! I have already booked my room today for another stay next week! I am so excited! WOW! Dr. StillStanding

Don't expect much rest or relaxation as hotel is located on a busy highway which makes rooms even louder. Our rooms were not very nice & shampoo and other std items were not provided. Our complaints to mgt were never resolved so we'll stay elsewhere next time as they do not seem to care.

We chose the best western for the indoor pool and the good rate. It was important to us to have a place for our grandson to swim after a day of winter activities. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the room and the pool were. We had a minor problem with the toilet that was fixed immediately. The staff was very friendly and even recommended a great restaurant- one with good food for us and our finicky grandson. We were very satisified with the restaurant and our stay at the best western. We plan to stay here again next year for the winter carnival.

We've stayed here a couple of times and found it to be very nice. We stay there cause it's away from Lake Placid but not so far that you can't go there too. I think I'm going back to stay there in February for a couple of days.

This hotel was clean. The A/C was not working and they were not able to relocate us to another room. For $108.00 per night, it was one of the more expensive hotels we stayed at in the upstate NY area with no added amenities. Only a few miles from Lake Placid and a lot less expensive.

We stayed at the Best Western Mountain Lake Inn when our nearby reserved accommodation turned out to be squalid, despite its AAA 3 diamonds. The BWML management had all but one night of our stay covered, but promised us any cancellation if one came up ( we ended up going elsewhere) for less $$ than the dirty place. The room was very new, clean and comfortable; there is no elevator that I could see, and the lack of a small fridge for rent was a minor inconvenience (we had a small cooler with us and replenised ice daily). Plenty of counterspace in the bathroom, too. There is some traffic noise in the front of the motel, but we slept just fine with the window open (it's cool up there!)

The service was good, the room was clean and well laid out. Location was excellent. Price was reasonable

I have stayed here the last three years. The rooms are new,
very big and very clean. The only draw back would be that there
are no in room refrigerators. I usually rent 2 rooms. Last year I had to cancell 1 of them a week before my stay and had no problems.
