The only thing i would suggest to you guys is making sure you book it online at SweetHotelDeals. N e t I did a bunch of searching for hotel prices, and that site seems to have the lowest prices all around

I booked this place on a special deal and got so much more than I expected. My husband and I were invited to have afternoon tea in one of the beautifully decorated upstairs room before being personally escorted to our room which was an absolute delight. The place has an ambience which we thoroughly enjoyed. Any request was immediately catered for by polite and professional staff. I think the highlight was having our own doorbell as that was something completely new to us! A wonderful experience all around!

Great location, great food, great staff ... I attended a wedding here in the last four weeks and couldn't fault this hotel. It is beautifully set up both location-wise and internally - my relations stayed there for a few days and found it very very satisfactory. Thanks to all who made our special time such a success.

I had thousands of dollars of handmade and antique jewellery stolen from our room. Had noticed a large bag had been opened on our first night, and on second day when we were out for a number of hours, all the jewellery left behind was taken. It was reported to police, and the officer informed us that he had taken other reports of stolen items from this hotel. Mr Griffin the general manager, was rude, pompous, and could do no more than suggest the police officer must be lying! Instead of helping to investigate the theft, they have done the opposite. When we were discussing it in the foyer of the hotel, they kept trying to lead us away so no guests would discover what was going on, but we flatly refused and stated that everyone staying at this hotel should be made aware that their belongings can be stolen at any time. There was a safe in the room, but after over 30 years of travelling the world and staying in 5 star accommodation, this is the first time I have had anything stolen, and remarked to Mr Griffin that when you pay these prices you presume you are paying for security and quality of staff. There was a safe in the room, but this would have been far too small to fit such items as expensive cameras, which thankfully I had taken when we left the hotel that day. Unbelievably a few days later I received a letter from the hotel stating they had taken it upon themselves to debit my credit card for the sum of $92 for a bottle of bubbly (which had obviously been stolen at the same time as the jewellery). Not many thieves would bother opening the fridge, unless they knew they had time, knew there was french champage inside and knew it could fit in one's pocket without being detected! Over a week later I have received no information from the hotel re their investigating this matter, but have received a helpful response from police. The following 2 days we spent at another 5 star hotel in the city, who could not have been more helpful and sympathetic.

The Observatory Hotel is one of the best Hotels to stay while on holidays in Sydney so if you are thinking about having a holiday go to Sydney and stay at the Observatory Hotel. The Observatory Hotel is very close to the Opera House!, and many more attractions.It is a MUST to visit Sydney, Australia and stay at The Observatory Hotel!Its also very romantic ,there are many fancy restaraunts to choose from and awesome clubs.The service at the hotel is excellent!Room service was very polite and kind. So if you plan on traveling somewhere...Choose Sydney, Australia and stay at The Observatory Hotel! and Good Luck!! nothing to write about this hotel why? its very beautiful.The rooms are fitted with all modern conveniences.......more than that the servers are whole hearted !!! ^^

5 star prices and 1 star service. The service at the restaurant was painfully slow. I did point this out to them but no attempt was made to rectify the situation. Even the coffee took over 20 minutes to arrive. I put my feedback in a letter to them but did not receive a reply, so I don't think they care one bit about the customer.

we couldnt even have sensational and private dinners without people coming in the room and interupting us it was so pitiful we couldnt every have sex

I loved it because I stayed there!!! We had fun and that was the least we could do was burn a little money on a hotel since I'm filthy rich!!!
