All private detache andd cabins quiet
By Penny Lane, 05/27/09
We spent a week here in June 08. It was great. We had coffee on our porch every morning and grilled steaks on the grill every evening. We sat in the grassy yard area and watched eagles flying over every evening. So relaxing and the staff was great. It's not fancy but it's very cute. This was our third stay in 3 years. We've stayed at some of the fancier places around Jackson but they don't compare. We will always come back to the Cowboy Village Resort! It's a four block walk to the square so we were away from the noise and it's a great walk. It's perfect for us 50 somethings!

Don't stay here!-unless you have no choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/07
We were attending a conference in Jackson and this place was recomended. They are as they look-cabins but I didn't expect stained carpets and floors, cobwebs and dust, the worst pillows and the smallest Queen bed I've ever seen, poor lighting, sheets with ink stains & tiny holes. Not much to cook with-crooked fry pan, tiny pot. The towels were tan, corse with holes, stains. I noticed one of the maids driving around on the golf cart and I saw that she had very white towels, (I went over and they were soft too) I called the office and asked about the two diff towels and was told that the new white ones were for the delux cabins. Then I noticed that some of the young adults staying in other cabins, and I asked...yep, weekly rentals. I wish they would have told me that delux was better and had better towels. We didn't use the pool, or hottub. They have lots of ice and nice lawns.

Worst place I have ever stayed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/07
We got a TINY no-bedroom efficiency like cabin. Bathroom was charming, with a 2" slope to the floor that bounced when you walked on it. Thick black ooze came out from under the vinyl bath mat glued to the bath tub. Charming plunger placed next to toilet for self service so you don't need to call the front desk, which is closed after 11PM anyway. No closet, and 4-drawer chest was placed at the foot of the bed, which has so little room you couldn't open the drawers if you stood in front. This also blocked the coat hanging bar, leaving room for two jackets and nothing else. The unit we had was right along the "resort" boundary, with a street, sidewalk, and and street parking just outside one window, so we couldn't open this window to get some fresh air. Basically clean, except for the empty can of bug spray I found under the bed when we left. We would have left except were were there for only one night, leaving in the morning for our flight home. HOWEVER - other members of our party stayed in the newer, or newly renovated two-bed cabins, which were only $20 more per night. These seemed much nicer, with room to unpack you luggage and clean bathrooms. Of all the pictures shown, only the last one shows a similar cabin, all others are the two bed newer and renovated cabins. So, my advice is to AVOID the one bed cabins. The two bed cabins could be adequate if you had no other lodging choice.

We couldn't have found a better place!
By tayjenn, 01/08/06
My fiancee and I stayed at this place in Aug. of 2005. We found it on the internet and decided it would be nice to stay in a cabin. The cabin was wonderful! Spacious enough for 2 adults and a small child. I liked the fact that each cabin has its own BBQ grill. We went and bought buffalo burgers and grilled out. The only downfall to the place - the cabins are really close together. I highly reccommend this place!

Great Place for a Family Reunion
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
Not only were the accomodations fitting for the American West, but the site is within minutes of downtown Jackson. The cabins were cozy and the facilities complete. The Rogers' family reunion in August of 1998 would not have been the same anywhere else.

cozy but dark
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/04/04
Great little 1 bed room cabin with two TV's made it work nicely for parents with an 8 year. Walking distance to everything in town and the rodeo. Only drawback is that on rainy days (we had several in August) the cabin is not a place to "hang out". They are depressingly dark inside. Other than that it was fine. PS if you what to go to Yellowstone stay in Yellowstone! The drive to and from Jackson detracted substantially from the Yellowstone experience.

Nice cabin in the middle of everything
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/04
A little pricy - but was given a senior citizen discount. We enjoyed Jackson and the Tetons!
