Stay Away From This Place

I'd recommend staying somewhere else. I was unlucky enough to stay in cabin 8009 between July 24-30 2010.
First three nights the a/c wasn't working when the problem was known. The a/c had a leak and wasn't fixed properly (This was told to me by one of the workers). They did come out that evening and fix it temporarily by pumping more freon into a leaking coil. I was told I should have called sooner even though I got in late and went straight to bed just turning down the a/c a little more every night thinking I didn't turn it down low enough. Did I mention they knew about the problem and it's my fault.
Got bit on the chest the first night by a blue centipede, saw black scorpions in the bathroom, large spiders in and around the fireplace, silver fish bugs crawling in the kitchen and bathrooms. They offered to treat the cabin at the end of our stay but I didn't care to leave the cabin open or stay there waiting for them. I doubt it would have cured the problem within a day or two anyway. Also we were told a maid checked the a/c prior to our arrival and it was working. More lies.
The cabin was dirty. We were told it was because there was someone there the same day as our check in and they couldn't clean it properly. Well the cabin was offered to us the day before at a reduced rate so I doubt it was rented for that day.
The oven didn't work well.
Grill didn't work well which sucked since the oven didn't work.
The upstairs shower leaked and was noted by the previous renter.
My wife called ahead to make sure we had a washer and dryer. We did, but it wouldn't finish a cycle leaving soap in our clothing. Figured they would have checked that since we specifically asked about it.
The workers would never tell us the people to contact and just leave a complaint. The front desk never offered to switch us to another cabin. All the owners would tell us is we contacted the wrong people and they would have fixed the problems, switched cabins for us, and it was too late for any reimbursement since we stayed the last day of the month and they already paid the owner. I didn't expect perfection for $175 a night but I would expect the workers to be a little more informed on who to contact, the owners to be more sympathetic to the customers about the short comings, and a better cabin than the motel 8.
There stories don't add up, they act like we should be the ones staying around to fix problems, they don't tell you the correct people to contact, they never tell you who they are. I was once contacted by Kevin their maintenance man, later to be told he was the owner. I talked with Brenda Smith after asking for the owner and Brenda told me it was Kevin. After I questioned her about that statement she finally told me she was an owner too. If they won't tell you who they are how do you know who to contact with a problem. They finally offered us a free night to come back and spend more money with them. It would be coming out of their pockets though. Well if it's coming out of their pockets, they should reimburse us for our past stay. I expect this to be deleted shortly, a poor excuse by hidden mountain, or some bs that it was my fault for not contacting them sooner. I just truly hope this helps someone else out there from wasting money. I have the email stating the problems existed too.
