BIKERS BEWARE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM

we stayed in cabin 5175 1 bedroom told them we be on motorcycle , the road to office in west is nice , after that road goes straight up and is golf cart width and hard turns at top and no way to meet a car on them and pass , our cabin had a nice gas grille after that is all down hill , dusty floors my white socks turned brown from bedroom to the frt room , every room had dead bee's or bugs in every corner and the tv's are old and small , had big raccoon in the trash can on the front porch ( no coon or bear proof can like at volunteer cabin had we stayed in before ) i even had put firewood on top of the can , nice hot tub we had to be back to cabin by dark no way you could gotten safely back to cabin on bike after dark , open deck needs restained and rocking chairs need work , couch in frt room old and worn out ,wish we had stayed with volunteer cabin rental much nicer and easy to get to on bike safely , well almost went dry a couple of times they told they upgraded us to a 4 star cabin ahhh what a laugh need a new cleaning lady we left it much cleaner than we found it for sure neverrrrrrrrrrrr ever again unhappy bikers from indiana only giving them a 1 star to post review hidden mountain resort no way is a resort

BAD SERVICE

i love hidden mountain, we have been coming here for 20 years, but this last time was a very sad situation. thanksgiving morning we woke up to no hot water in the cabin , maintaince came and fixed it, that lasted maybe a few hours, next day same thing, next day same thing. three days no hot water. finally they came and changed some elements and then it worked. but the attitude of the front dest was unreal when i checked out. i asked for some sort of compensation for all our trouble, she told me there was no hot water because of everyone taking showers, duh no body could take a shower because there was no hot water. then i asked her if there was no problem why did they change the elements and tell us they were going to have to replace the hot water tank. her reply was the maintaince man told here there wasn't a problem. now thats just not right, basically calling me a liar. what can you do about this?

Will never return to Hidden Mountain Resorts

I have been going to Hidden Mountain Resorts for over 15 years. I've always had a great experience until this last visit. They have two locations, East and West. I've always stayed at the West location. This location had always had its own office to check in at. Guess what? The office is closed now! The bad thing is, nobody bothered to tell me. When I brought it up they said it was in the confirmation email they sent. I went back through all my emails and didn't see it mentioned. The only indication that the office was closed was a sign on the door that said they weren't in and a number to call that went to voice mail. If I hadn't stopped a maintenance guy and asked what was going on I probably would have never found out that the office had been closed. I asked for towel and trash service on Saturday. Nobody showed up. When I asked about it at the office they offered to give me a bag of towels if I would drive over to their East location. Lucky me. The good thing is, there are a lot of places to rent cabins in the Smokies. After years of good service, this place will be coming off my list.

hidden mountain sucks!

hidden mt. resort apple valley rd. used to be a nice place to stay.staff was willing to work with us. ever since tabitha left it seems they've gone to hell. the lady there now, lori is very rude, we caught her several times lying to us about availability in order to rent us a higher priced cabin. for someone spending $150+ a night not even a full 24hours, should be a lot more respectful and show gratitude. their cleaning staff is awful. every cabin we stayed in was filthy, silverware not washed, cobwebs and dust everywhere. dust behind beds and dressers probably there for years. dont hire lazy cleaners for what you charge! they all have bugs or scorpions in them. every grill is filthy with burnt food on them, i hope they get sued for someone getting bacteria infection, clean your grills and cabins! be more polite!the $10 no-refund deposite is them just taking your $10. i dont expect to take my family back there.their prices have gone up. one cabin they tried to give us had a dead rat in ducts, we spent hour+ transfering to another one they did not let us stay extra hour for the inconvenience but shouldve offered!also some cabins dont have jetcuzzi tubs or 2 tv's or fireplaces yet they still want same price, those should be $99night.one cabin had some mold on walls and ceiling #97A. we come there to relax every now and then. we dont expect to spend the first 1.5 hour cleaning the place when their crew should have it cleaned. debbie is one of the worst cleaners beware. also when cabins dont rent they should still go over them once a week to keep them up, they dont.its not worth the price of the cabins to put up with their (lori and santa claus) bad attitudes! the dirty cabins and grills their dishonesty and unappriciation for paying customers. they lost our business which we spent a lot of money there because of their lack of hospitality, customer service and quality service. we go to brothers cove now and so far they treat us right. i recomend you go there instead of hidden mountain. one good thing i can say about hidden mt. is they offer one night rentals which alot places dont. but we drive from crossville and usually stay 2nights anyway so that didnt matter much to us but maybe it might for some of you. i hope this helps you.watch out for some of the grills at west they like to blow up in your face, might be all the left over grease from meat on grill.

Stay Away From This Place

I'd recommend staying somewhere else. I was unlucky enough to stay in cabin 8009 between July 24-30 2010. First three nights the a/c wasn't working when the problem was known. The a/c had a leak and wasn't fixed properly (This was told to me by one of the workers). They did come out that evening and fix it temporarily by pumping more freon into a leaking coil. I was told I should have called sooner even though I got in late and went straight to bed just turning down the a/c a little more every night thinking I didn't turn it down low enough. Did I mention they knew about the problem and it's my fault. Got bit on the chest the first night by a blue centipede, saw black scorpions in the bathroom, large spiders in and around the fireplace, silver fish bugs crawling in the kitchen and bathrooms. They offered to treat the cabin at the end of our stay but I didn't care to leave the cabin open or stay there waiting for them. I doubt it would have cured the problem within a day or two anyway. Also we were told a maid checked the a/c prior to our arrival and it was working. More lies. The cabin was dirty. We were told it was because there was someone there the same day as our check in and they couldn't clean it properly. Well the cabin was offered to us the day before at a reduced rate so I doubt it was rented for that day. The oven didn't work well. Grill didn't work well which sucked since the oven didn't work. The upstairs shower leaked and was noted by the previous renter. My wife called ahead to make sure we had a washer and dryer. We did, but it wouldn't finish a cycle leaving soap in our clothing. Figured they would have checked that since we specifically asked about it. The workers would never tell us the people to contact and just leave a complaint. The front desk never offered to switch us to another cabin. All the owners would tell us is we contacted the wrong people and they would have fixed the problems, switched cabins for us, and it was too late for any reimbursement since we stayed the last day of the month and they already paid the owner. I didn't expect perfection for $175 a night but I would expect the workers to be a little more informed on who to contact, the owners to be more sympathetic to the customers about the short comings, and a better cabin than the motel 8. There stories don't add up, they act like we should be the ones staying around to fix problems, they don't tell you the correct people to contact, they never tell you who they are. I was once contacted by Kevin their maintenance man, later to be told he was the owner. I talked with Brenda Smith after asking for the owner and Brenda told me it was Kevin. After I questioned her about that statement she finally told me she was an owner too. If they won't tell you who they are how do you know who to contact with a problem. They finally offered us a free night to come back and spend more money with them. It would be coming out of their pockets though. Well if it's coming out of their pockets, they should reimburse us for our past stay. I expect this to be deleted shortly, a poor excuse by hidden mountain, or some bs that it was my fault for not contacting them sooner. I just truly hope this helps someone else out there from wasting money. I have the email stating the problems existed too.

Love This Place

This is the best place ever. Everyone is always so very friendly, and the places we stayed are always clean and very pretty. They might be a little higher than some of the other cabins, but remember you get what you pay for. Some people aren't happy no matter what, For goodness sakes you are renting this place not buying it. I would not let small matters spoil my vacation. They have always been very nice to deal with and very quick to take care of any problems that might occur. We pick a different cabin everytime we come and have never been disappointed. I would recommend to anyone. Next year will be our 8th visit and I would never stay anywhere else.

Moving On UP

My friend had recommended this place. She and her family had stayed there many times. The cottage we chose did not have the bedroom downstairs that I thought it would have. I called just to check and see if they had another one. Well - they said they could upgrade us to a 4 bedroom. I said how much more will it be and they said not a thing. I couldn't believe. It was absolutely beautiful and we surely had plenty of room. Everything was great and we will stay there again. Thanks for the upgrade.

ME AND HUSBAND HAVE BEEN TO THE EAST AND WEST LOCATIONS AND STAYED FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY AND BROUGHT OUR FAMILY OF 11 A FEW TIMES WE WOULD NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE WE HAVE HAD A FEW LITTLE PROBLEMS AT TIME BUT THAT IS EVERYWHERE I KNOW IF WE DIDNT HAVE SOMETHING WE WOULD CALL AND SHORTLY THEY WOULD BRING IT TO US WE PLAN ON GOING TWICE AGAIN THIS YEAR WOULDN'T WANT TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE...

Best Resort in East Tennessee!

Me and my family stayed here in 2004, we absolutly loved it and are coming back next month. We cant wait!!! We have always stayed on the east side because its very secluded yet close to all of Pigeon Forge's attractions. It was beautiful, and we loved the hot tub, jacuzzi and over-all atmosphere. Best Resort in Tennessee!
