Been there twice and want to go back.
By Jim Criswell, 6/29/11
I've been there on two different occasions and had a very pleasant experience both times. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. It was very clean. I didn't have a need for a lot of service but everyone was very friendly. You couldn't ask for a better location for both beauty and closeness to town. It'sl a beautiful walk to all kinds of shops and restaurants.

Beautiful place for a wedding party
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/10
Our family stayed at the Edgewater. We used 5 rooms and they were all very beautiful and clean. The proximity to town, shuttle to the Castle, and views were amazing. Having the comforts of home was important and helped with a busy week. Thank you to all the owners for sharing. Each unit had its own personality and charm. Our family loved it!

We will not be going back
By Kara, 10/23/09
When we arrived we were not greeted with a smile or friendly attitude. We went to our room and it was very dirty. It also had a foul odor. We went to the desk and requested another room. She did give us another room, but that room was just as dirty, though there was no odor. We kindly requested a refund because of the condition of the room. She said that all she could do is take $20 dollars off. At this point it was late and we ended up staying because it was so expensive to walk away and find another place to stay. We had to clean the hair out of the shower, clean the floor in the bathroom, and the coffee pot was disgusting (of course we did not use it) We left very early in the morning and will never be back.

It was one of the nicest places we visited
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/07
We enjoyed this resort because it was close drive to area attractions and the views of the lake was nice. It was quiet place to stay meaning that no kids running and making noise at all hours. We went in the fall and felt the place was worth the value we paid and nicer that a Hotel.

favorite vacation spot
By Bill, 5/16/06
We found the Edgewater by accident many years ago and have gone back every summer since then. Every suite faces Round Lake so there are no bad views. It's just across the street from the Weathervane restaurant, across the drawbridge from downtown Charlevoix, and a short walk to Lake Michigan. Or just sit on the balcony and watch the boats and people go by. It may not be the cheapest place in to stay in Charlevoix, but we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.
