reminder: hotel is for sleeping
By erx, 06/13/09
admittedly, the "continental" breakfast here is a disaster - this place does not offer any food worth the name except pizza ads from under the door into your room every day.. consider a cafe nearby other than that - the pool is OK, walls are not from paper, the streets around are quiet, great shopping at Sunset Place nearby (2 min walking) if your budget is tight, this is the place for you to stay at night.. miami public transit works great to downtown, to the airport, in fact anywhere

The hotel was inexpensive, but real cute. The staff there was real courteuos and polite.I especially loved that the pool was in the middle of the building and very beautiful.

NEVER AGAIN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/09
The first question we had was transportation from the airport. Very important. The answer was, YES. When we arrived at the airport, the answer was NO, because they sent the driver home. HOME? There are two more flights into Miami after mine, Why would you send the driver home? The taxi was $40.00 and the Hotel would not even split the cost. Only two trips to the Port of Miami. One at 11:00 and one at 12:00, I'm glad I asked! We wanted the one at 11:00. It was an hour late, the driver was at the AIRPORT! Wow, get it together! And please change the carpet, it smells, and my son's socks got dirty from walking on it. Nice!!!

We stayed at this hotel as we were taking a cruise.Te staff was nothing but accomodating. We did have to wait for the shuttle to and frrom the port of miam and the airport but we had ther time to do it.The rooms were clean and the continental breakfast was enough. I would go back to this hotel.

Bait and Switch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/09
Booked three rooms and upon arrival informed they were overbooked and were placed at a hotel 15 miles away, horrible area and disgusting hotel. The manager refuses to call and has billed me for the room even though they were booked. It was unsafe to stay at the locate we were sent to. We did not stay.

Poor Service and Smelly Rooms
By Mrs. Bahamas, 11/25/08
My family and I stayed at this hotel, the bests are shabby and old the carpet is beyond dirty and the service is poor. I booked through hotels.com, my room was prepaid, however the hotel still charged me for the stay. I made at least 15 calls before I finally found someone who would take the time to assist me and refund me for the double charge. The rate for the rooms should not be more than $50.00, because this hotel needs some serious renovating. If anyone says that they were pleased with this hotel it must be the owner or an employee.

It Should be Worst miami Hotel
By kitty, 11/24/08
My first night was pure agony, I thought i was surrefing from scratchy sheets, coupled with the fact that there was no way to adjust the temperature of the room......wrong. I woke up with bites all over my legs and arms. I went to a CVS minute clinic who agreed that the welts were bites and tried to help by giving me some cream to sooth my agitated skin. The hotel offered to change my room but that was it no discount nothing! the second night...pure agony again this time I demanded a change in rooms the same night and was granted on...but i was so afraid i spent the night in the chair. I guess i presented quite a sight the next morning because I was offered a room change next, but as you could guess i was at the end of my rope! Never Again, I would not wish it on my worst enemy!

TERRIBLE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/08
We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and provided shuttle service. BIG MISTAKE!! The "dank" smell in the lobby was the first clue that this was not a clean hotel. We were tired and just wanted to get some rest. They charged us $45 for early check-in, which turned out to be $50.85 when we paid the bill. The room rate was another $111. The room was INFESTED with bugs! The "hot" water was only luke warm. The king sized bed had a queen sized sheet on it and we basically slept on the bare mattress. The sofa in the room had a NASTY stain on it. The bathroom floor was sticky underfoot, and the carpet was FILTHY! I don't even want to know what kind of stains were on the bedspread. The TV was not working properly because the cable wire kept falling out of the wall. The ice tray in the refrigerator was dirty. The guy who worked behind service desk on 10/17/08 had a rude demeanor. The only nice thing about this hotel was Carolyn. She was very pleasant and professional. I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
By chris, 09/22/08
We chose this hotel because of the FREE shuttle...but waited more than an hour each time we called for a pick up, even when hotel was 10 min away!!! The lobby, pool and hallways have all been refurbished...but the rooms need help. I was scared to open the window because I was afraid it would fall out of the window sill. The bathrooms were ok for clean, but the paint was peeling and the water in the shower changed from hot to cold in 20 second spurts - even when water was turned to the hottest. We stayed two nights before a cruise and one night after in 2 different rooms and neither one was impressive. PLEASE, PLEASE spend the extra $20-30 to upgrade to a better hotel!!

Best in Miami - not really!!!!
By Marisabelle, 08/07/08
Me and my family came to the USA for the 1st time this summer. We spent 5 weeks in Florida and visited lots of hotels but the worst by far is the Best Miami hotel. The Staff were rude and unhelpful. The shuttle was supposed to pick us up instead we waited for 3 hours in the sun. There was a stain on the carpet and to make matters worse they withdrew 100 dollars from our credit card for no apparent reason we had to return to the hotel to ask the reason for this - first we were told that we had taken some drinks from the bar after we denied this they checked the bill and returned the money to us - ofcourse without any appologies!! Ridiculous!!! If you are looking for bad service, a hotel in not a nice area of town and dirty rooms and risk your money being withdrawn from your account for no reason at all then choose the Best Miami Hotel. If you want to enjoy your holiday I sugest finding yourselves alternative accomodation!!
