Scandic Europa Gothenburg, Gothenburg

This is a really good hotel. I Can't find any major faults. Clean, functional, light, airy and comfortable. They don't go overboard with loads of instructions and things that might 'trip' you up or cause you to accidentally spend a fortune. Staff friendly, smart and helpful (although the guy on the night desk didn't know how much postage was needed for a postcard to the UK!) Our only slight quibble was that the buffet breakfast felt a bit hectic - but that's because I like a quiet, peaceful environment at breakfast. We also felt it would've been very easy to just walk in off the street for a breakfast. Having said that, the selection and quality of food was excellent. The sauna bar is lovely and the small pool and sauna is spotless and really a great way to relax after walking around Gothenburg. Location couln't be more convenient as you are just a stone's throw from the station; trams stop just outside and you are almost in the large indoor shopping centre. It was all easy and just works as a hotel. We would definitely use it again. David
